I’ve seen that in old pictures and never figured out how GATA was supposed to mean Georgia Tech Athletic Association. Typical GT. Poor marketing....

It meant the same thing when Coach Russell "borrowed" it.

It's confirmed. Tech is definitely a nerd school. We have three colors, all you have to do is match them like Grrranimals, and we still can't dress ourselves. Let's try a gold/blue plaid.
