And trust me. Coming from a vet, it is very much appreciated.

Speaking for myself, we should all appreciate the sacrifices of our veterans. My dad was a US Navy veteran during World War II, he went directly from being discharged to Georgia Tech and had to work part time, support my mother and my older sister who was a baby and all three of them lived in Techwood Homes. It was a hard life but he told me many times that he would never exchange his time at Tech for any other school. It was a special kind of place even a half century ago. Still is. That infant daughter? She grew up to marry my brother in law. Georgia Tech double E major in 1970. Funny how these things work out.

I forgot about the tech wood homes. For about a year i had a little brother as part of big brother big sister program that Gt sponsored. I took him bream fishing and he was cool a good kid. Then one day the family was gone. Area was ok during the day.

I guess Techwood Homes wasn't a hell hole then;)

No, it was the first public housing project in the nation or so I have been told. It was populated during the 1950s by veterans attending Tech and others trying to get their life back together after World War II and Korea. Dad thought it was not the best situation in the world but as he told me later "it beat the hell out of hauling Marines to Saipan"

(y)(y)(y)(y)(y) It was worlds better than Techwood Flats that predated it

On offense I'd say the OL, the way to fix it is depth. We have lost so many guys on the OL for different reasons. I'll also say the Abacks blocking. I wish they would mix the drive blocks and cut blocks up more, imo CPJ doesn't need to let it be their decision he needs to mandate them to mix it up, in doing so, imo it will become so much more effective because the D won't know which block is coming.

On D I'd say their 2 minute D, to fix it we need to play as if it were any other part of the game. Be aggressive and don't settle for the dunk and underneath passes to try and prevent the long play. Id also say we need to put the players in better position to make plays (play to their strengths)

Better, more varied passing.

Better STs and better Defense is something we ask for every year, always in vain (with exception of Butker years). So it's best to just assume they'll suck again as usual.

Our O works best when we can complete passes, which opens up the run. We didn't do that this year. We really need LJ to become the starter and all that goes with that. TQ just isn't QB material.

From Football Scoop. Worth a look?

Texas Tech: Special teams coordinator Joe Robinson will not return, sources tell FootballScoop. The 2010 FootballScoop Special Teams Coordinator of the Year, Robinson previously coached at South Carolina and also made stops at North Carolina, LSU, Arizona, UCF, Houston, Louisiana Tech and Southern Miss across his 28-year college career.

Reason TM showed up at the UGA - Auburn game? Select one or identify your own: (a) He just needed a break from studying, (b) He wanted to pick up pointers from elite players, (c) He figured by openly cheering for the Dwags, they will try not to hurt him next year, if he is still our starting QB, (d) He is trying to provide leadership and cohesion for our team against our hated foe in the COFH curb-stomping classic, (e) He is considering transferring there and playing QB for a national championship contender, (f) He "found the ticket on the sidewalk" and went in to see what was going on, (g) He was fulfilling some trash talk when he said he would be at a championship game this season, or (h) He is actually a spy for UGA and joined his alter-teammates for their big game.

Was he wearing UGA gear? Maybe he was cheering for Auburn.

Different plays on the o side of the ball. Tired seeing the same plays over and over. Shotgun on passing down. D side be aggressive and different blitz packages. Most of all like to see our guys in different color jersey

I really don't need to see the QB "Option" Keeper ever again. 40x per game was enough!

Or a specialty kicker whose sole purpose is to kick it out of the end zone ...

If we could guarantee such a thing...

But punts are kicks too. Don't think there's a punter who can put everything out of the end zone.

The biggest fixes for next year were made last year. With recruiting which has been improving. Will be interesting to see if any true frosh can break the 2 deep next year. The current class appears to be a continuation of our recent recruiting upticks.
