[The Doddfather]

After the 2 botched fly balls that gave them their first run, we got a gift with Bader running into an out between 3rd and home with no outs. Folty didn’t let those miscues phase him and had another good start. Hopefully moving forward we will continue this trend of good starting pitching. Max and Soroka seem like locks every time they take the mound. Folty has been good in his last two, Teheran has been a strong 6 inning guy lately, and Gausman has been ok. If we can hide the pen as much as possible, our bats may get us through. I just hate the feeling of not knowing what we are getting from the pen night in and night out. Looking forward to watching Soroka on the split screen with the Jackets in the tourney tomorrow evening.

finally the dang phillies lost one today. So if we win tonight we can get back to our normal spot at 1.5 behind.
Sure seems penny wise,pound foolish to not spend for helping out the bullpen.
Blevins and swarzak may help but sure don't look like sparky lyle and Goose Gossage.

I don’t know that Riley is that kinda base runner. That’s easier said than done in the majors. I’m more bothered that Ozzie ran right into an out. The play was right in front of him.

I heard Riley was being held up at 3B. In defense, it was a one-hopper to shallow right and in the rundown they were looking back towards home the entire play.

Would have swept the road trip, if the ‘pen could have saved those two one run leads. In the ’Frisco nightmare, Atl. had two strikes, two outs in the ninth.

The situation changes next Tuesday at midnight when teams will be officially free to sign the free-agent pitchers without draft pick compensation.
Sure hope liberty Media remembers that they will get some extra revenue if they make the playoffs.
