Stolen base by Acuna and scores on a Freddie single. That's the other dimension he brings to the leadoff spot imo, he's a good baserunner and always a threat to steal. Very rare talent with power and speed.

Why the hell didn't he let Newc close out again? He only threw 25 pitches yesterday.

Jackson shook off McCann at least 10 times in the inning because he wanted to throw slider slider slider slider slider slider slider slider slider slider...........slider slider slider slider slider slider.......slider slider slider slider slider slider slider.....slider slider slider slider slider. McCann was pissed you could tell. But Luke wanted to surprise them with another slider. Just solid baseball IQ from Jackson all the way around.

McCann even went half-way to the mound to meet Jackson in making sure he wouldn’t throw a slider in the dirt again. Brian has proven to be experienced calling games(got Tehran going good last night, helped Webb)& is a seven time all-star. Why he hung that slider to a Punch and Judy show hitter, I’ll never understand?

Atlanta leads the league in walks, at over 4 per 9 innings(exclude Soroka, Fried and Gausman from the list, and it’s almost 6 p.g.). When they do come in the zone, it seems t be a “fat pitch,” like a hanging curve that’s flat or fastball down the middle!

I have absolutely hated the way Atlanta uses pitchers since Snit took over. This whole idea that a reliever can only pitch one inning and MUST then be replaced, and that guys MUST have specific roles such as closer or 8th inning specialist or whatever makes NO sense to me. Toussaint was a starter. Let him pitch 3 innings and finish the game and then give him 4 days rest. Let guys continue pitching as long as they are effective. His “book” on handling relievers sucks.

I can't stand Brian Snitker,he's a mediocre manager. I hope if the Braves don't make the Playoffs that he's shown the door!
