We just ran into two buzzsaws in Scherzer and Strasburg. I fully expect them to pick it up today. Also, this is a difficult first road trip. At the beginning I would have been happy with 2 wins and now it looks like we can go 4-5 or 5-4.

You know what they sat about Good Hitting vs. Good Pitching ... my only concern right now is Ender Inciarte, he has been struggling this whole road trip.
I think he needs to be the spark in this offense.

Looks like iffy weather in Chicago for this weekends series.
The Cubs seem to have gotten off to a slow start, hope we get the games in, we may be catching them at the right time.

The Braves beat the Cubs 4-0. The winner was Anibal Sanchez 1-0 and the loser was Yu Darvish 0-1. The Braves are 8-5 3 games back of the 10-1 Mets in 2nd place.

The Braves crushed the 1st place Mets 11-7 raising their record to 11-7 and 2nd place two games behind the 1st place Mets

Nice game last night, the Mets aren't looking all that impressive (at least for now).
One note and bit of a rant ... Bullpen walks drive me nuts !!
If a reliever comes into a game with a 5 run or more lead and walks the first batter, he gets a $5,000 fine.
The Mets were given three walks and scored three runs in the 8th last night ... good thing we had a 10-1 lead.
