I have a love/hate thing going with Julio, but man did we need that yesterday !!
Although we didn't play well to close-out the first half, if we were given the choice to have 52 wins and be 1/2 game back at the All-Star Break ... nobody would have turned that down.
I think Freddie and the starting rotation will definitely come back around ... I think Inciarte, Acuna and the bullpen will have a lot to do with what happens in the second half, assuming Markakis and Albies continue what they are doing.

I'm a huge fan of Julio. He has just never been an ace like the Braves were hoping for. However, he is an excellent 3rd starter in a rotation and with the emergence of Folty and Newk, he is finally in the right spot in the rotation.

I hope the Braves make a trade before the trade deadline for a starting pitcher or reliever

I hope that we trade for Brad Hand now and then in the offseason, either sign another ace (like Kershaw) or trade for one. I want the rotation to be Ace, Folty, Newk, Tehran, and Soroka/Allard/Fried. It'll probably be Soroka in that 3rd spot, so put one of Fried or Allard in the pen and include the other in a trade.

I really don't have anything against Julio and he seems like a good teammate ... but he drives me crazy with his lack of overall consistency and walks !

I think Julio is nearing the end of his career and will be dealt by the Braves to another team in the offseason

I think we need to be extremely careful coming up on the trade deadline. I want to contend "This Year" and we obviously need bullpen help ... but I don't want to trade away 5 years of minor-league prospect rebuild.
