Guys, I truly believe Keuchel is at the point of his season; As in coming out of the All-Star Break on Sept. 12. Realizing he did throw on the side for several months, it’s not the same as MLB.

He doesn’t overpower most hitters. He’s not a flamethrower. He doesn’t have the leg thrust that Tom Seaver had. Not like Cole, Greinke, Strasberg or Verlander, that’s going to get double digit K’s every night.
What he does have is control, placement, verve/attitude/competitiveness and experience. He can pitch to contact to keep that pitch count down(although teams today have game plans to ward off his pitches on the corners and foul them off, until he gives in or the counts go up like last night). He still gives you 6 on a bad night, when he’s in form-like now.

Reminds me of Greg Maddux. Best compliment I can give him. Still has work to do, to have Hall of Fame Numbers.

Another guy he reminds me of is former Indians,Twins and Red Sox starting pitcher Luis Tiant

Yeah, you guys were waaaay too hard on Keuchel early on. Visionaries like me and Buzzb always saw the possibilities.

Nevermind all those posts where I was rippin' Keuchel. I was hacked.

I just hope I’m right on Riley and Camargo, or next season these folks are going to hit me with four-seamers and four word bombs. The hacked excuse you’ve taken, so I might need to come up with the dog was typing relentlessly on my Ipad while I was napping like the old senile dude I am.

If Tehran wins a playoff game, I’m going to try it this Fall or develop a taste for crow.

If Julio Teheran finished 2019 13-8 or 14-8 where would you have him in the Playoff rotation? I think i would have him 3rd or 4th in the pitching lineup.

I give Julio a lot of credit this season, he's really come up big in spots, but I'm still keeping him at #4, with a slight edge over Folty.
Keuchel looks really comfortable and confident on the mound right now and even though both have had a rough start lately, I'd still go with Fried and Soroka in the Top 3 for post-season.

Didn’t realize the Braves are in the top 5 in striking out. I guess it’s the aggressiveness and we know against the good pitching of October, more contact is needed. The three-run homers are less forthcoming.
