Gut check time... for Nationals. They are in a good series with 3 games left v Braves to prove they're not going to let that happen. Ironically... Cubs are best WC matchup (IMO) for Nationals. So... I want Cubs in there... just as #2.

I was dead wrong wanting the Braves to give him the prorated 18m. for one year.
I also wanted to trade for Realmuto(not Riley, but Allard and Wright), although this current tandem is older-it has worked out a little more than satisfactorily. I couldn’t believe we basically got Keuchel for market value and no draft picks. He was my #1 F.A. last winter. I’m on Snitker’s side wanting D.K. #1 in the present state. He’s my #1 because the other guys don’t have postseason experience(Folty, Tehran, only a small sampling).
Soroka 2, Fried 3. If Dallas has a poor September, then I would swap him with Keuchel. I don’t think Max has the rubber arm to go games 1,4,7. Big D could do it.

You can't beat that experience thing. If Keuchel does get #1 & has success & Braves go deep in post-season... how many other high end pitching FA's follow suit. Just wait to midseason to join a contender ...not deal with long season & peak for a postseason run?
