Fred, if you get the next three....you’re still 5 games back. Does that demoralize a team that has had so much success after that tough start to the season?
I doubt it. I think Nationals are very comfortable with who they are & what they have...& realistic about their chances to catch Braves. They won't say it publicly... but they have already aligned the rotation to get Scherzer scheduled to pitch Gm163... the wildcard.

Not to sound like my man... Old @Milwaukee ... but I am concerned the Nationals could squander this wildcard thing. Tough schedule to finish & a few teams still within striking distance. Nationals have lost 3 of 4... with 3 still to go on road in Atlanta.
The Nationals have a tough remaining schedule with 3 against the Cardinals in St Louis,5 against the Phillies and 3 against the Indians to close the 2019 regular season:wideyed:

If the Braves win one of the next 3 games, I'm calling the NL East race over, whether @Milwaukee likes it or not.;)
Fred must be paying you off? It takes some heat off of him with @Milwaukee.
For the record, we have you down for one more win does it....YJF2018, I believe stated 2 of the next 3, does it?....I’ll say win all three, and 11 game lead is too much with only three more, head to head.

Anyone else want to predict? @kg01 already shared his crystal ball psychic powers.

I think it's very possible that the Braves finish 103-59:cigar: I think the Braves finish 16-5 in the next 21 games:cigar:

Probably knit picky on my part...both runs, 2 of the 3 hits for the night, 1 of the 2 walks, came in the ninth. Greene walked Dozier in the eighth. We don’t have many options for closer, although we need to test O’Day in the near future. Guessing we need to leave Greene alone where he is, for the eighth. I don’t trust Martin or FNS Luke, after the sixth and seventh.

Snitker is on record for wanting Keuchel as his #1, as of now. It makes sense to have Soroka follow and then Fried. Seems Tehran is 4, unless Dallas is 1, 4, 7. With Houston, he liked not throwing on the side between playoff starts. Wondering what role Folty would play in the ‘pen, if Julio is the long man?

The Braves announced this morning that they’ve reinstated outfielder/third baseman Austin Rileyfrom the 10-day injured list. A knee sprain wound up sidelining the young slugger for nearly a month.

Since Riley’s last game, non-Acuna outfielders for the Braves have batted a collective .228/.321/.320. Riley’s own offensive output cratered after his blistering start to the season, but improving upon that collective level of production is a fairly low bar to clear.

Atlanta has had a starting outfield’s worth of injuries, with Riley joined by Ender Inciarte and Nick Markakis on the shelf. In the absence of that trio, the Braves have utilized Matt Joyce, Rafael Ortega, Charlie Culberson, Adam Duvall and Billy Hamilton in the outfield alongside young star Ronald Acuna Jr.

Buzz, my post-season rotation would be Fried-Soroka-Keuchel, Julio a #4 if need be. Greene and Melancon have grown on me as set-up and closer.
Julio and Folty as the long men ... and I agree with you on Martin and Luke.
