I never bought into the Christian Pache rumor. Didn’t know if it should even be mentioned.
hmm, now i'm thinking about a like so i can unlike, you scared the crap out of me there...
can't say ive completely digested this flurry but since we still got Pache, waters, anderson, wilson, wright i'm feelin pretty good about it all.
Now we just need two of Wilson,Wright,Folty,Gaussman to step up and them dodgers can go eat popcorn while watching the world series

This Braves starting pitching staff reminds me of the 1973 New York Mets and the 1972 Detroit Tigers Playoff teams

1973 Mets

Tom Seaver 19-10
Jerry Koosman 14-15
John Matlack 14-16
George Stone 12-3
Jim McAndrew 3-8

1972 Tigers

Mickey Lolich 22-14
Joe Coleman 19-14
Tom Timmerman 8-10
Woodie Fryman 10-3
Bill Slayback 5-6

This is the one I wanted. I'm ecstatic with what the Braves did today, but I really wanted Grienke. If Folty can keep pitching like he has at AAA, then this isn't a bad miss though.
I’m with you, but Arizona probably didn’t want much of that huge, huge contract. He’s a stud, I hear you with that. Although, would you want to give up 3 of our elite talents, plus another guy who was in the Houston top 10 before the season started?

Wentz was #7. Allard, 10. We did pretty good keeping the Farm intact.

I'm glad the Braves minor league system wasn't gutted;)
