The 61-43 1st place in the NL East Atlanta Braves won 9-2 over the 54-49 3rd place in the NL East Philadelphia Phillies. The winning pitcher for the Braves is 4-1 Sean Newcomb and the losing pitcher for the Phillies is 8-8 Jake Arrieta. The 61-43 1st place in the NL East Atlanta Braves lead the 55-48 2nd place in the NL East Washington Nationals by 5.5 games and the 54-49 3rd place in the NL East Philadelphia Phillies by 6.5 games. Braves newcomer relief pitcher Jeremy Walker pitched great!

Tough injuries. Looks like Swanson, Markakis are going on the I.L.
Nick’s left wrist got beaned with a 90+ mph fastball. He said it’s not looking good, and going to the Doctor. Duvall could get a shot in RF if called up.

Noticed Inciarte didn’t get a hit again last night. He is stating that he wants to remain in Atlanta and not be traded. With Riley not hitting this past month, all of a sudden the Braves have only Acuna as an OF threat. Starting to look like the past offseason, again.

Fractured right wrists take 8 weeks to 6 months to fully heal....

TODAY: The Braves placed both Swanson and Markakis on the 10-day injured list, per Baseball America’s Gabe Burns. Max Fried takes one roster spot, while Adam Duvall has been recalled to take the other. Swanson’s injury is listed as a right foot contusion, whereas Markakis, as feared, has a fractured right wrist (Twitter links).

....we need another OF, or Camargo needs to be converted. Riley will not be sent down(so for the next 5 games in the least, he will platoon). Snitker has stated sending him down will do no good, because he won’t face MLB pitching.

Can you give us a report after each game next week? I’m assuming the two you are attending, are on Monday & Tuesday? Looking forward to the ESPN game Monday!

Hope all the guys enjoy this pennant race, and we all get our presents to open early, before Wednesday.

I give Nats a very very low chance to win tonight. Kershaw v an 'opener' for Nationals. So... more than likely looking at relying on Strasburg to come up big again to avoid getting swept at home (tomorrow) by the Dodgers. Newsflash.... Dodgers are G.O.O.D.

I'm actually going to Games 2&3 (Tues/Wed) of Braves series.
