The Braves win 12-6 over the Phillies:cool: The 1st place in the NL East 52-36 Atlanta Braves lead the 2nd place in the NL East 45-41 Washington Nationals by 6 games and the 3rd place in the NL East 45-42 Philadelphia Phillies by 6.5 games. The winning pitcher for the Braves is 3-4 AJ Minter and the losing pitcher for the Phillies is 7-8 Zach Eflin.

Yamamoto makes his fifth start since being promoted from Triple-A New Orleans -- and first against the Braves. In 23 innings, the rookie has 23 strikeouts and a 0.96 WHIP. Opponents are 0-for-23 with 14 strikeouts against his slider.

Bryce Wilson will pitch in Gwinnett on July 11 and return July 16 to start in Milwaukee. Braves recalled Grant Dayton to get an extra arm in the bullpen for this weekend.

I sure like the way this years team hits and scores. We're pretty close to being able to make a deep run in the playoffs.

They can. The cheapskates. Major League minimum until arbitration and Minor League Split when at Gwinnett. Planes vs. Bus Rides. Per Diem, big difference. Pre and Post Game Buffet Spreads in the Bigs vs. Little Caesar’s if lucky at AAA.

I noticed we moved up to 5th in the power rankings, recently. It was like Dodgers, Yankees, Twins, Astros, ahead of us if I remember correctly.

Pitching seems to dominate in October. I’d like more arms from outside the organization within the next four weeks. What do guys want included in your wish list?

6-4 3.40 ERA Dakota Hudson of the Cardinals would be an interesting pitcher to deal for and the Braves might not have to give up too much
