Dadgum. Our best team in some years, and we may not even break-even in ACC play? (That is how I am interpreting a 10th place finish in a 15 team league).

Florida State has recorded fewer than 8 ACC wins exactly zero times times some 2007-08. Georgia Tech would be lucky to submit their record...
Yes they had more success than tech but what does that say? Look at the recruiting classes they've had. Look at their recruits during that and tell me they have not underperformed, especially in the post season. Also tell me how many players they've had in that time period who actually developed into better players?

Although I like some of the optimism in the media concerning a more experienced team, I'm not sure what to expect, although Pastner keeping the team together after the NCAA "slam dunked" us is a good omen.

Fun article ranking the OOC schedules of all the Top 7 conference teams plus 7 additional Top 30 KenPom teams using a simple formula.

GT ended up 4th among ACC schools in the difficulty of its OOC (only a 1/2 point from being tied for 2nd hardest OOC in the conference).
https://www.cbssports.com/college-b...-schedules-in-college-basketball-for-2019-20/

Here are the rankings of the ACC schools (the highest score overall was 18.5, the lowest was -2.5)
UNC 16 (T3)
Miami 10.5 (T23)
FSU 10.5 (T23)
GT 10 (T28)
Duke 9 (T41)
Wake 8.5 (T46)
L'ville 8 (T51)
Syracuse 5.5 (T65)
NC ST 4 (T76)
BC 4 (T76)
UVA 2.5 (T80)
Clemson 2.5 (T80)
ND 1 (T86)
Pitt 0 (88)
VT -2.5 (92)

The one big takeaway from this is that if you see a team with a gaudy OOC record, look at who they played, schedules are not created equal. Also, some teams are going to need to play really well in conference to make it to the NCAA.

Wow, VT with negative strength of schedule OOC? How do you get that, by playing junior-high teams?

If we can end the year over 500 we should be a bubble team at the least, right ?
