Athlon predicted Georgia Tech will finish last in the ACC Coastal Division. Athlon has never thought much of Georgia Tech in the past it seems to me but they said that the hire of Geoff Collins was an outstanding hire.

We got a decent shot of starting out 5-1 before things get tough. I will say 6-8 wins total.

Join the league completely or keep getting the shaft

I think we learned long ago that joining doesn’t exclude one from getting the Charlotte shaft. Now that the league office can’t completely screw non Tobacco Road schools...they can easily set their sights on screwing the domers.

It’s not a bad way to hurry them out the door to the B1G.

Even bothering to predict the ACC Coastal standings is an exercise in futility. You can claim Miami has the prestige factor (do high school athletes even know Miami was once a powerhouse??) but every other roster and recruiting ability is pretty much the same. Maybe a bit of an edge to VT who have good football branding and an elite DC.

Also, Notre Dame gets a Bye Week before Virginia Tech, so there is a hefty bit of crybaby going on with that post. None of their ACC opponents had more than 7 wins in the regular season last year. It’s not like they’re facing Clemson, Syracuse, NC State, etc off a Bye week. They’re worried about Louisville, Boston College, and Duke? LOL

Of course freaking Duke gets a bye before ND
