Wofford has a bunch of good shooters. At the end, when UNC was trying to close the gap by fouling, the Heels had two problems. First, they only had three team fouls, so they had to foul Wofford four times to force shots. Then they were faced with the fact that Wofford had four guys on the floor who shoot better than 80% from the line. Two of them are 90% shooters.

But my observation is that UNC thought, up until time ran out, that they were enough better that everything was going to fall into place. They had three bad possessions in the final minute last night. But they did not seem to have any sense of urgency.

....and they were getting all of the calls? Down the stretch, it seemed like they were literally shooting free-throws every trip down the court. Thats a big part of how they made it such a close game.

Kudos to the kids from Wofford, they all executed down the stretch, and some kids other than Magee hit some big shots. When they had to shoot critical free throws, the kid steps-up with picturesque form and drills two big ones!!

A win that like that could propel them for the rest of the season.

Interesting that UNCheat’s two big players both made awful decisions in the last 90 seconds. Berry drives with no plan and charges. Mayes takes a terrible 3 early in the shot clock. And, of course, Ol Roy disclaims any responsibility and says the team is prima donnas and they don’t work hard

Actually, Roy may be correct.
