A few updates.
Duke has added 2021 PG Jaylen Blakes (247Sports #102, Rivals #120)
Clemson has added 2022 big man Ben Middlebrooks who will reclassify to 2021 and play for Clemson this fall.

In the world of rotating assts, VT asst Chester Frasier is going to join the ILL staff after KY took 2 assts from IL.
Frasier was Vt's best recruiter.

Apparently UF is considering their other AC too. Just lost their transfer 7 footer from USF before he even made it to campus with Frazier’s departure.

VT's Tyrece Radford has entered the transfer portal. He was their 2nd leading scorer and third leading rebounder last season.

It may or may not be connected to him having a positive ignition interlock result that has resulted in an August 9th hearing about revoking his probation.

This is one of those instances which just makes you shake your head in wonder. Last winter, Radford was arrested for a DUI and for carrying a concealed handgun (unloaded) without a permit. He was convicted of the DUI charge, given a suspended sentence, and placed on probation. At the time, he had a Louisiana driver's license, and his driving privileges were revoked. However, he was allowed to get a Virginia DL so that an interlock device could be put in place, and his privileges restored. The concealed weapons charge was taken under advisement for 12 months, and the police retained custody of his handgun. Then he fails the interlock test. At his hearing, he could have his original sentence restored, and he could then have to face the weapons charge. There is a whole lot of stupid going on here. Entering the transfer portal isn't likely to preserve his eligibility to play next semester or even next year. It's hard to imagine he' will be in school, anywhere. It's going to be really interesting to see who will give him a scholarship when he becomes available. LSU, maybe?

Nearly the entire SEC would be a good fit.

(oriental, please don’t ban me for disparaging the SEC)
