This is one of those instances which just makes you shake your head in wonder. Last winter, Radford was arrested for a DUI and for carrying a concealed handgun (unloaded) without a permit. He was convicted of the DUI charge, given a suspended sentence, and placed on probation. At the time, he had a Louisiana driver's license, and his driving privileges were revoked. However, he was allowed to get a Virginia DL so that an interlock device could be put in place, and his privileges restored. The concealed weapons charge was taken under advisement for 12 months, and the police retained custody of his handgun. Then he fails the interlock test. At his hearing, he could have his original sentence restored, and he could then have to face the weapons charge. There is a whole lot of stupid going on here. Entering the transfer portal isn't likely to preserve his eligibility to play next semester or even next year. It's hard to imagine he' will be in school, anywhere. It's going to be really interesting to see who will give him a scholarship when he becomes available. LSU, maybe?
