FWIW... last year (the first year under this format - 4 pools of 3 teams), despite the significant advantages the high seed of each pool gets with scheduling & the pool tiebreaker... only 1 of those teams won its pool in 2017. And all 4 pools had a 2 win pool winner. In other words no pool finished with each team 1-1 in pool play. I wonder what the odds of that are.
The seeds that advanced to Sat last year:
#2, #6, #8, #9
