Yeah and steak went on to say he was taking his 2 kids to the Duke game.
Kiss of death?

I've seen Brisket at a basketball game or two.Kiss of death?
There is no way an undefeated power 5 team that ended its season beating Clemson, UGA, and FSU would be left out of the playoffs.Rick and Jamie on 92.9 just said GT could run the table, and even FSU is beatable in ACCCG. They wonder if we'd get snubbed by playoff committee, and they say a loss to george would definitely leave us out.

Doesn't the 680 playoff rule require that the playoff game have a 2 SEC team minimum?
Thats just sickeningESPN said today it was possible 3 SEC teams could make it in.

The problem is that the narrative was already established before the season started. Each of those teams can lose to one of the other teams and the interpretation will be that they lost to one of the best, if not the best, teams in the country. If you begin with the assumption that the SEC is all powerful then when Alabama loses to Ole Miss it is not because Alabama is not that good this year (no one ever says that) but rather that Ole Miss is just phenomenally, colossally, unbelievably good this year. See how that works? I have seen this movie way too many times.Seeing as how Auburn, Ole Miss and Miss State have to play each other and Auburn has to play Alabama, at least two teams are going to have at least one loss. I don't think the mathematical probabilities are in the SEC West's favor. What if Alabama gets up and runs the table? I still see at least two losses for two of the teams in the Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, Miss State pod.
And if any other conference leader gets beat by another team in their conference then it's because said conference is terrible. If you go back and look at the SEC's record vs other conferences over the last ten years you start to realize that this SEC "hype" machine is just that. Hype. They do better in bowls because a majority of the time the bowls they play in are much closer to their campus than the teams they play against, effectively making bowls home games for the SEC. The SEC is very good but I'm so tired of people crowning them the best when the data says they're really not. Not to mention that a majority of pro-bowlers come from the ACC, not the SEC.The problem is that the narrative was already established before the season started. I could add so many more examples to this but I would be preaching to the choir. This is a year when there are very few really good teams and no real strong conferences. To continue the SEC hype is just laziness on the part of sports writers who can't do real journalism. And if any other conference leader gets beat by another team in their conference then it's because said conference is terrible. * Mizzou is ranked right now after losing to a terrible Indiana team at home. That tells you everything you need to know about how biased the media is for the SEC. If we lose to Duke this week we won't sniff the top 25 unless we go 9-1 until the Clemson game. Duke would destroy Indiana.
Don't say I didn't warn you: http://gtswarm.com/threads/espns-playoff-projection-week-6.4151/ESPN said today it was possible 3 SEC teams could make it in.
It is not laziness. This is a corporation acting in its own self interest to make more money. ESPN has a contract with the SEC from 2014 though 2034.I could add so many more examples to this but I would be preaching to the choir.
