CDP was not brought here to run the 3o and probably has very little experience with it and CBK probably has zero. There are plenty of ways to have a run-based offense (FOR NOW) that aren't the triple option. I don't think P'nut has a clue what they are.

His resume is pretty good as an OC. Lets give him a chance after a couple of years of recruiting. I mean, no other OC is coming here right now anyway. Look how CDP is being treated after 4 games given our offensive personnel. No young OC is going to want this rebuild on their resume.

First off, we were upset last year, but this is apples and oranges. Let’s look at the results:

1. Clemson - both teams lost to Clemson. Last year’s team lost to the eventual National Champion and we may say the same thing about this year’s team at the end of the year. Pretty much a wash. Two bad losses, but expected.

2. Wins- last year’s team opened with a win against Alcorn State. Not very impressive. This year’s team beat USF in a tight battle. Sloppy on offense, but a win is a win. I’ll give the edge to this year’s team.

3. Losses- Here’s where we get to the big difference. Against Pitt and USF we were competitive(we had the USF game won until Searcy’s fumble). We didn’t even compete with Temple, with offense being shut out for the first time in over 30 years. The Citadel loss speaks for itself, but if you’re not going to give last year’s team much credit for beating Alcorn State(and I didn’t), that means a loss to The Citadel is even that much worse. A lot of people consider it the worst loss in our history and the stats prove that that isn’t hyperbole. Last year’s team gets a huge edge here. They lost to two FBS teams in competitive games. This year’s team didn’t even lead against Temple or FCS’s The Citadel.

Our last two losses were the first of their kind in thirty years. That’s the difference.

Lastly, as I said earlier, we were upset last year and a lot of people were already in meltdown mode. However, I will add that it’s much more reasonable to say “ give it to time, we’ll turn this around” when your team lost in competitive fashion and your coach has won you a couple division titles and a conference title in the past versus when you lose to an FCS team and your coach hasn’t had any significant success in his head coaching career yet.

The coaches had two weeks to get ready and 60 minutes to play. How much time do they want? It is a not very unique defense, anyway: blame it on the players.

Welp, you might want to remember this next time he makes a prediction. I never played at GT and I knew that wasn’t going to happen even if CPJ stayed. This was a 3-4 win team without oline injuries.

Even with the Oline injuries I think we still win 4 this year. Frustrating as things have been we have the talent to compete in the coastal.

Pnoob called a better game vs Temple. We execute better vs UNC and we can definitely win. The only team left on our schedule we have no shot against is uga.

This was a 6-6 team without the fustercluck coaching.
