2025 Transfer Portal: Who do we need to target this offseason?

We need the TE that can pull back across the line on counters and put a Nickle/OLB/Safety on their *** and run a simple route tree to fill the Hawes/Geode void. I think this guy has that potential with his 6'3" 240 frame.
No offense to the guys already on the depth chart/recruits but outside of Beetham idk who else on our roster can be that guy, the guy that wants to do the dirty work.

Will someone please go out and get a couple of Linebackers? Not even 1 in current recruiting class.
GT used to turnout some really good Linebackers; time to get the train rolling again!!

The linebacker class was pretty weak this year for recruiting. Plus our current LB core is very young besides Tatum.

Efford is current a RS sophomore.
tajh Boyd true freshman
EJ Lightsey is RS sophmore.
Jackson’s Hamilton is young too.

Doesn’t mean we can’t get 1 in the portal tho

Hawes has been a great addition this year. Too bad he is done. I think he has a shot in the NFL if he wants to give it a shot. Big guy, smart, good blocker, and can catch.

I don't have any inside knowledge but he seems like the type that if he can come back 100% he will definitely be trying to give it another go.

We used to sign Safeties and beef them up into LBs...Haven't paid that much attention to 2025 S class... but 18 yr old 6'-6'2" 210-220# guy can be expected to "training table" up to 225-35# LB, no prob. We will be OK at LB next year...
