Coaches have to balance a 3 legged stool of talent vs. cost vs. cultural fit when evaluating potential transfer targets. I think a lot of these money grabbers don’t satisfy the “fit” qualifier.

I hope that is always the case. Even if they’re here for just one season… If they aren’t here for the right reasons, it doesn’t matter how good they are. Wrong guys can cost a whole lot more than NIL money.

I think Tech picked up a steal in Hosley. Yeah, I know: it's only the Ivys. Thing is that as a frosh he was Ivy League player of the year. He has, imho, nothing left to show when it comes to RB creds. And we can use a stump-puller in the backfield to go along with Alexander. Who, by the way and also imho, will be number 2 again next year. I expect him to pick up another 10 pounds or so in the off season. Still, it always helps when players have to look over their shoulder.

I mean that's kind of the thing - everyone talks down on these lower divisions, but these guys that are the BEST players in these leagues can absolutely contribute in a meaningful way in the top conferences...will they be player of the year in those leagues...probably not. But doesn't mean they can't be really good players in those leagues.
