Dwags sneak by a mediocre (former) SEC East Cat team and then beat every team thereafter by 50 points. Tale as old as time.

Pretty sure those boosters have seen how bad ugaleilei is and would rather be winning that having "their guy" start. Also isn't Brock Glenn their #2 QB? For his career he is 19/51 for a 37% completion percentage, with 0 TD, 2 INT and a QBR of 16.1. They signed a 4 star QB out of Savannah last year, but he is 3rd on the depth chart. That is all of their scholarship QBs - the other 3 they have signed since 2020 transferred out. They have a single 3 star QB committed for next year.
TBH, most of Brock Glen’s resume is being forced into starting against Louisville in the ACC CG last season and against UGAg with a half a squad in the Orange Bowl.

Absolutely. Every coach should know this: Do not, under any circumstances, even if it's fourth and forever, punt the ball to Ugag late in the fourth quarter with the game on the line. Just don't do it.
I've seen that movie play out time and time again, and it never ends well. 4th and 8 was makeable. Their chance to win the game ended when they sent the punt team on the field.
Yes, yes, yes! Stupid move by Stoops, IYAM.

How our upcoming opponents fared on Saturday:
  • Louisville: DNP. Has only played 2 cupcakes.
  • Duke: Required 4th-qtr rally to escape home upset by one of the worst teams in FBS (UConn).
  • UNC: Held only a one-score lead over their FCS opponent into the fourth quarter, before finally pulling away. 11 penalties didn’t help.
  • ND: Looked good in beatdown of Purdue.
  • VT: Solid game statistically, winning by 20 against 0-3 Old Dominion. Appeared that O.D. starting QB was out and they had difficulty completing a pass, but still gained 243 on the ground. Not sure if this game was a good test for VT.
  • Mia: Absolutely dominated Ball State 62-0. Ward (93.4 QBR) threw for 5 TDs before he was pulled to let backup play.
  • NC St: After starter Grayson McCall left with an injury, backup came in and led 2nd-half rally to avoid home upset by Louisiana Tech.
  • uga: Looked surprisingly vulnerable in scoring only 13 points to win by 1 over Kentucky. Had some injuries. As has been said, this may have simply been their one game where they didn’t look dominant but still won.
Forecast Summary:
  • Still looking very beatable: Duke, UNC, NC St., probably VT.
  • Hard to tell but possibly beatable: Louisville, ND
  • Still probable losses: Miami, uga.
Edit to add latest AP poll changes: uga down 1 to 2nd, Miami up 2 to 8th, ND up 1 to 17, Louisville unranked to 19th. Must be nice to get bumped into the teens without even playing a game.

Good post and this is besides the point, but it is an absolute joke that ND is still #17 after losing to Northern Illinois. They love to rank the logo, not the team.

Very few really good teams out there that can win on a bad day. Probably 6 realistic championship teams. 8-10 that could sneak in. Then there’s the rest. Trying to be that 12th team.

Which is honestly the perfect scenario for the first year of the 12 team playoff. It could be quite a fun post-season, speaking broadly as a college football fan. Here’s hoping we’re involved!

Ranked teams with a loss to a higher-ranked team: LSU, Mich, Clemson, TAMU. Nothing strange about that.

Ranked teams with a loss to a lower-ranked team: Notre Dame. Because brand.

Teams that are ranked because the models still heavily factor in preseason expectations, and voters are too lazy to dig deeper: Louisville, ND, TAMU.

I'm happy to see UGA can play a mediocre game against a mediocre opponent. You may not like Clemson, Miami, or FSU, but hold your nose and pull for them. When they are successful, they help our conference.

Well that was the worst hail mary I've ever seen, Kentucky
If one doesn't throw the ball, but say, runs out of bounds instead, does that count as a candidate for worst Hail Mary? Asking for a fanboy friend....

The look will be forgotten in weeks!
As will Wake Forest, because they’d rather play a Sun Belt schedule than a real one. It’s why I’m so glad GT doesn’t back down with our OOC scheduling. Winning 8 games with 4 OOC patsies is not impressive. It’s what Wake has done for years, and it’s why nobody respects them as a serious program
