Still wrapping my head around the fact that Burress didn't get drafted, he had the lowest chance of making it to campus, IMO.

Probably, he didn't get drafted since he didn't want to and told the teams as much. No reason to waste a high draft pick.

The interesting thing about him, unlike Parada, is he was only 18 & 7 months at the 2023 draft. So he'll be playing for three years and most likely get his degree.

So we are lucky :buzz: Damn lucky.

I think I read somewhere that Burress' size didn't have a lot of room to grow and that some scouts thought he was already at his ceiling.

Thoughts? I am in agreement with Verlander here. I've watched Dylan Crews (#2 overall) here in Fredericksburg. He's better than everyone else on the field (by my layman's eyes).

I particularly like/agree with Verlander... These college kids at the elite programs are outstanding for "marketing" the development that can & does occur for a significant number of college players.
