Probably, he didn't get drafted since he didn't want to and told the teams as much. No reason to waste a high draft pick.

The interesting thing about him, unlike Parada, is he was only 18 & 7 months at the 2023 draft. So he'll be playing for three years and most likely get his degree.

So we are lucky Damn lucky.

Maybe, but not as likely since his potential would have commanded a high bonus. The draft is a lot about potential.

But he'd go at a discount if injured so we can't totally discount that.

Hope not.

He needs to get on campus and prove them all wrong. I like his odds and I’m betting scouts are going to pay for this mistake (with OPM of course!)

Thoughts? I am in agreement with Verlander here. I've watched Dylan Crews (#2 overall) here in Fredericksburg. He's better than everyone else on the field (by my layman's eyes).

I particularly like/agree with Verlander... These college kids at the elite programs are outstanding for "marketing" the development that can & does occur for a significant number of college players.
