Virginia handling Duke early.

Midway through 2nd quarter 24-0 UVA. As usual they are passing it all over the place - almost 200 yds passing so far. They run it just enough that you can't completely forget about it - 13 times so far.
Duke to this point has just 107 yds of total offense.

FL 14 LSU 21, half, FL scores on a 42 yd TD pass on the last play of the half when LSU has 3 DB's who fail to make any defensive play allowing the FL WR to catch the ball clean.

The UVA game is going to be a gut check for our defense. Our offense will get some points whether we run better or not. If we get sacks, turnovers, or 3rd down stops we can win.

Duke got zero pressure on the UVA QB regardless of how many they rushed. That wasn't an issue for them against us. How will we get pressure on the UVA QB. If we can't we are in big trouble as he can make the throws.

Our secondary will be tested. Waiting to see what our DC can come up with. Not overly optimistic.

I think their problems are much greater than just penalties

UVA being smart and playing backups in the 4th.

Their defense has done a good job against Durant, holding him to 81 yds on 24 carries.

We have to find a way to get pressure on Armstrong or this will be like the Pitt game. We definately cannot afford to be in negative TO margin either. We got away with that against Duke, I doubt we would against UVA

No kidding. Duke got pasted 48-0 by UVA.

I put out a request for them to wear UVA out, but I didn’t mean for them to wear UVA out running to the goal lines.

(BTW, I notice a lot of teams we play lose the week after playing us. )

Pitt putting it on VT….21-0 at half. 6/8 of VT drives 3 & out. Pitt DL manhandling VT. 76 total yds by Hokies at the half. Home crowd has started to boo the offense.

IMO Pitt is a good football team. Probably strongest team in Coastal.

UVA looked good today. Duke played with much less fire in Scott Stadium than they did at home. UVA will look to shut down the run and challenge us to beat them through the air. What else is new? We will have to burn them throwing long.

Pitt's definitely the coastal favorite. Too bad they torpedoed their own resume in standard Pitt fashion but randomly losing to WMU

UNC leads Miami 45-42, with 3 2:52 left in the game (ACC Network). They're about to punt.

EDIT: UNC seems to view defense as optional. Maybe they want Miami to score quickly so they can answer

EDIT #2: There's 6 seconds left. Miami was in chip shot range to tie the game. They threw, the ball was tipped and intercepted.

Miami out-gacked UNC. It was amazing.

Pitt may be the best team in the ACC period right now. They have looked better each week and have probably the best OOC win as well. that WMU loss hurts, but that is not a bad team. They are 5-2 and just blew out Kent St 64-31. They are only 2-0 overall but the only team that doesn't have at least 2 losses already in the Coastal is VT who is 1-1.

Pitt's offense has looked good all year, but their D seems to be getting better and better.
They have Clemson at home next week which should be an really intriguing game. Clemson is the best D they will face, but I still feel like they will score some points. Can Clemson score enough


GT is going to have to score in the 30's to have any shot next week. Wake is the only team to hold UVA below 30 points this season.
