We weren’t a particularly strong team last year, but on top of that we were unlucky too:

@ESPN_BillC: SECOND-ORDER WIN TOTALS

* Greener = luckier, redder = bad
* Luckiest win totals: Miami (OH), Boise, SMU, App St, Cincy, K-State, SDSU
* Unluckiest win totals: Miami (FL), Ohio, Colo St, Fresno, Iowa St, Tex Tech, Troy
* Go here for more on 2ndO W: https://www.espn.com/chalk/insider/story/_/id/27952195/the-10-most-snakebit-cfb-teams-betting-edge

Not as unlucky as Miami (who we beat), but pretty unlucky.

And the Virginia Tech fans have absurd expectations
I don't know that this is really accurate. But, something is amiss with their recruiting right now.
I beg to differ...

UGA hired Browns offensive coordinator. From what I’ve seen, everyone is trashing them over it lol

This was not a good hire for them. He ran some of the most incompetent offenses I’ve seen at Tampa and Cleveland. Neither of those teams are top-end, but both had enough offensive talent to make things work for an imaginative play designer.
