The odds are pretty small. USF coaches aren't yellow-bellied cowards like the staff at UCF.

Yeah I think so,Jacket. Hopefully Louisville will have a new starting quarterback and head coach(Petrino could go to Tennessee) when GT plays them in 2018.

Petrino would be a terrible hire for UT. I'm not certain I will expect leaving South Florida with a win. That's a damn good team.

Was curious so I pulled up the depth chart http://www.ourlads.com/ncaa-football-depth-charts/depth-chart/south-florida/91855 and they do lose a lot.

On offense, their big time QB, top 2 RB, Center, LG, WR2
On defense, both DT, 1 DE, Mike, Nickel, SS,
Punter, Kicker

They'll be a completely different team by the time we play them next year. As will we.

The USF Bulls lose everyone off of the 2017 team and will be very green in 2018

USF, played in Tampa, won't be a cakewalk; fortunately, among this season's starters they will be losing both starting DTs, MLB, QB, C, and a WR. Coach Strong is no dummy, however, and they'll have two returning excellent tight ends -- and tight ends have haunted Tech's defense for ages.

If they don't face Navy in the AAC title game this season, then it will have been two years since the Bulls last faced a flexbone offense (which was Navy, a divisional crossover foe in 2016). However, just as Tech has a glorified scrimmage opponent for our first game -- Alcorn State, as we learned today -- USF also has an easy opening opponent, Elon. Hence, USF will have the preseason luxury of being able to focus on Tech. C'est la vie.

Not sure why the school is called University of SOUTH Florida, when it is located in Tampa, which is definitely not south Florida.

If anyone ends up at UT from our future schedule. It would be Cutcliffe. He's a known commodity there with what he did with manning. He could even draw manning to be his QB coach/OC.

Yes, I have that penciled in to attend......hopefully later in the season after the CYO football season is finished.
