I was at a party in NC the night Roof to NCSU was announced. A very big State alum asked me about roof. I said bend don't break philosophy. He frowned and said same with Huxtable which fans there don't particularly like. I said to get used to it. I think they recruit about at our level so they will have similar results. They think roof was hired to replace Hux when he retires.

Too bad there was no audio or anything at all identifying the two teams. It was not until after Tech's second TD that I was sure the boys in gold were Mizzou and not Tech.

The gold worn by Missouri was the same gold worn by GT i believe in the 1936 GT-UGAG game. The Atlanta Journal writer called the color of the uniforms worn by GT as being mustard yellow.

I am pretty sure that Don Stephenson was an All American center on that team which was loaded with good players.
The 1955 GT All Americans were Tackle Carl Vereen and Guard Franklin Brooks;)

GT's 1955 All SEC selections

Tackle Carl Vereen(3rd team)
Guard Franklin Brooks(1st team)
Center Jimmy Morris(2nd team)
QB Wade Mitchell(3rd team)
HB George Volkert(2nd team AP and 3rd team UPI)

Damn it! You made me look bad again but I am pretty sure Stephenson was some kind of all star perhaps in a later year. Two All Americans on the line that year? Almost unheard of for a Tech team even from that era.
