Agreed. You know Venables is 100% in charge of his defense. When Kirby was at Bama there was always a question of how much was him vs Saban. Would love for Venables to get the UT job & get him out of our hair & let him be UGa's problem for a while.

If Venables gets the UT job today or tomorrow I wonder who would be in charge of the Clemson defense for the Playoffs?

Was UGA's fans mad that Kirby Smart was named UGA's HC while still the DC almost to the day 2 years ago while 'Bama was preparing for the playoffs? Hypocrites...

Would be fun to see Tucker get the HC job at UT and cause a little ruckus at UGA among the defense and shake up thier 2018 defensive recruits and while the team trys to prepare for the playoffs. It will also add another wrinkle in Smart having the ability to repeat his success next year. It could be a big discussion point and distracting variable for UGA during their practice and cause friction between coaches. Who knows Ol'Phil may require him to report immediately and begin to get his staff together at UT as they need to secure their recruits. Plus he may try to take some of the recruits with him to UT before they can sign with UGA? I don't know how much leverage Phil has to make him come now. Thoughts?

It would be cool if Tucker took quite a few defensive recruits from UGAG and in that case UT could improve very quickly if that happens.:cool: I think Mel Tucker is a damn good recruiter and would be a nice hire for Tennessee.
