2017 Bowl Projections

The internets are full of useless information. I'm just doing my part to perpetuate the epidemic. For your analytical consumption... a full range of opinions on bowl projections follows....before Week 1 is even in the books.

To summarize.. none of these predicts Tech to be left out of the bowl schedule. None predicts them to rise to top tier (my word) or National Championship Semis. And each of these predicts Tech to end up in a different bowl game. All agree, Tech is middle of the pack in the ACC.

The sg1sports.com 2017-2018 bowl predictions are predicting a rematch between Georgia Tech and Tennessee in the Music City Bowl. I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch between GT and Tennessee in a bowl game

The last Music City Bowl we went to was colder than I expected. The wind off the Cumberland River cut through me like a knife, and I was full of antifreeze. The game didn't turn out the way I wanted either.

Bowls don't like to do this unless it's for NC type implications because the fans typically wont' travel to see the rematch.

I'm sorry I've had health problems along with computer problems the past few months and I forgot my password because i'd been offline so long and had to start a new one. I explained that on the introductions page

I think GT goes 9-3 and either goes to the Citrus Bowl against Florida or the Camping World Bowl against Texas.

Wow. Really hard question. We could go 6-6 and play in the Military Bowl, we could go 9-3 and play in the Citrus. I see that and every bowl in between. It all comes down to how well the new QB executes and limits turnovers. Plus, I really do expect the D to be better. If the D shows no improvement, I think CTR will be a name of the past. Piled up with the rest of the bad DC history for us. But, the players are set and we have returned a good many, so youth should not be a reason why we fail to get teams off the field. As a prediction? I say 7-5 and we play in the Music City. That sounds just about correct.

Injuries too are huge, and we already have Marshall and Lynch--two of our best, most experienced players--out. Some luck with the injury bug, some good bounces and calls, and yeah I could see 9 or even 10 wins if the D can improve and the O plays as expected.

But weird stuff can happen and some good teams can end up at 6-6, 7-5, etc. I do like our depth this year and I feel we may surprise.

I think there's a very good chance that GT goes to the Belk Bowl or the Champ Sports Bowl. I'd love the Jackets to go to warm Florida once again for a Bowl Game

Pitt won't get a bowl, this year. They looked terrible. Plus, they seems to be off on some bowls.

FSU won't go undefeated the rest of the year. Clemson's defense is the best in the NCAA. I dread facing them, already.
