Good stewardship is alone the most effective way to combat this liberal BS. If Cons would simply capture the logic of being anti pollution. Reducing emissions, stopping water pollution and preventing the wholesale stripping of our woods- for shopping centers and QT's would be a good strategy against the liberal exaggerations. Freedom is great and Capitalism is wonderful but 600 houses on 3 acres is a little overboard.

Well said. I think libs just carry some stuff to the extreme. Take free college, for example. I think that’s a fiscally unsustainable idea that will get a lot of votes. I could get on board for us reimbursing students for tuition and books who earn degrees in critical need areas. The critical need areas would be re-evaluated annually. Much more sensible, I think.

We already have way too many people going to college who don’t take it seriously and who don’t get any benefit from it. We don’t need to encourage even more to get into that ridiculousness.

Reimbursement for areas that we need workers. You can’t go wrong. They go on their own penny and if that degree is on a critical need list...bingo.

Yup. And community/technical colleges are a great avenue for that too. A focused degree on a trade like welding, computers, nursing, etc. it’s super cheap and short to get a degree.

100% agree. Welding is a great example of a critical need area.

Someone said this on this forum a while ago...most believers in the whole eco/climate change agenda are merely religious fanatics. They don't really know anything about it, but they believe the priests of the movement (aka "scientists") in the mistaken assumption that scientists are never wrong or never motivated by monetary grants.

I love the photo of the dude holding the spear with the caption about melting glaciers uncovering and threatening thawing relics. And now the farmlands on Greenland under ice are getting buried deeper under ice again.

Oh yeah...and another...we have 12 years to avert global disaster warning. Haven’t been hearing that for over 30 years...nope...not at all.

So 2015 wasn’t “the warmest year on record”? Lol

Climate models. How are these even taken seriously after 30 years of not one of them being accurate?

These scientists say “probably” a lot. They say current CO2 might raise temps to this historic Pliocene level (2-3 degrees C) in 300 years due to temperature lag but we must cut CO2 to 40% current levels in the next dozen years and to negative levels by 2050.

Lots of scientists are stupid. The BBC loves this particular type.

make college free and it turns into a high school diploma, most people would have a degree, especially if there is no control over degree types. Yes we would have a lot of "smart" people running around but that just means there would be a lot of smart people getting unemployment benefits, can't give everyone that high paying job that people expect with a degree.

They ain’t as crazy as the mayor of NYC talking about taxing / fining building owners and businesses for energy consumption in high rises.

If he and AOC continue forward there won’t be many companies remaining in NYC.

They don’t want them there as best I can tell.

Hawaii leading from the front. Spurred on by more unproven and little tested scientific hypotheses and models.

Plan to move to 100% renewable energy and no fossil fueled vehicles. Currently at about 30% with heavy reliance on fossil fuels. The vehicle plan will place further demand on their electric grid.

They will need to perfect power generation from ocean waves / tides and geothermal. Geothermal power currently provides about 3% of their power. These are hundred year goals they wish to achieve in 15. Good luck...they will need it.

Every proponent of renewable energy should watch this.

That’s why people who propose this stuff have to deal in hysterics and extremes. The only way they can ever try and push this stuff is by making people feel guilty about themselves and hate themselves. You have to be irrational to push the irrational. If you had to actually sell it on science and energy balance equations and pollution and total cost, it would never fly. You’ll never see this stuff being sold around how cheap the energy is or how efficient it is. Because you can’t. It has to be sold through end of times proclamations.
