    Ahmaud Arbery murder case

Sometimes actions are fall under multiple crimes, this is just an alternative charge to the agg assault. The DA can choose to prosecute agg assault instead of this.

Yeah, I definitely agree. I would not like my chances trying to convince a jury their actions didn’t amount to aggravated assault, but then again it only takes one juror...

    Ahmaud Arbery murder case

The shooting doesn’t have anything to do with whether the initial approach by the McMichaels was assault, any chance of a self defense claim would be defeated if simply confronting the victim was found to be agg assault.

    Ahmaud Arbery murder case

I agree with Ron John’s analysis, the issue is whether the shooting was justified, which relies on whether they committed assault, which when done with a deadly weapon would be aggravated. If they committed assault the shooting wasn’t justified, if a jury finds they didn’t commit assault, it’s...

    Ahmaud Arbery murder case

What you are saying can be 100% correct, BUT if the jury finds them guilty of assault, they can’t be legally justified shooting someone they just committed assault against.

As a criminal defense lawyer, what you are saying doesn’t make any sense. But hey, what do I know. This is assault according to the Georgia Code: (2) Commits an act which places another in reasonable apprehension of immediately receiving a violent injury. Whether they committed assault will...

    Ahmaud Arbery murder case

Simple Assault under the Georgia statute is committing an act which places another in reasonable apprehension of immediately receiving a violent injury. Whether their initial act of rolling up on him with guns could be considered an assault is probably a question the jury will have to decide.

My issue is there are no articles saying Bill Gates and Elon Musk are producing 300 Million N95 masks, which are much more expensive and take longer to produce than run of the mill surgical masks. Comparing the production of surgical masks to N95 masks (which 3M produced more than 10 million...

I don’t think a parade is necessary but leaving out all the facts is unnecessary and expected from Breitbart. Also, I haven’t seen any articles mentioning that all of the masks you referenced were actually N95 masks. There is a difference between masks and N95 masks, comparing apples to oranges.
