Mostly “Fire Geoff Collins”, some reminiscing, maybe bourbon or other distractions

I really can't think of a worse loss in modern Tech history (or all of Tech history for that matter)... unless we lose to KSU next week.

Georgia Tech, Your 2021 ACC Champions

    Very proud of these guys!

Can you believe this butt sniffer wants someone to pay for his camera?

Come late November of 2021, this fellow is going to be seeking a photographer's field pass from Tech for the Georgia game. That pass may be a little more difficult to come by next time around.

Georgia vs. Georgia Tech Predictions #UGAvsGT

I met up today with some old friends including one discontented UgA fan who predicted that Georgia would only win 28-10.

    Uni combo

That's actually why I liked them so much - because they were conceptually similar to Tennessee and Texas except they were unique to Georgia Tech. Nobody else has a look like that.

I would love to see us go with the gold jerseys that we wore in the spring game.

Taking my son to his 1st game!

Took my granddaughter to the spring game. She loved it. As we left - during the 4th qtr, no less - she said "When are you going to take me to a real game?" I said, "We'll have to wait until this fall." She said, "Aw, you mean they don't play tomorrow?" She'll see her first "real game" in November.

    Jackets Need Media Presence

As we all know, start winning and things will change. As for 680, between Joe Ham and the C&C weekly interviews with TStan, we might be getting more attention than we even used to get. Meanwhile, Golden went to FSU which may have something to do with her apathy regarding the ACC.

    Duke Postgame: GT loses 41-23

Today's first half felt like we were a school starting their very first year in D1 football. There's no quick way out from here.

    Positive Note: Cape Day?

Speaking as a traditionalist, I thought the grey unis looked good. I liked this look when Oregon did something similar some years back. I'd be fine with us wearing them again.

    Temple Post Game

Last week, a Michigan friend texted me after losing badly to Wisconsin and said "We have become Tennessee." I can now text him and say, "And we have become Tennessee - Chattanooga."

It would be interesting to see a study of coaches who have moved to a new team and soon thereafter had the opportunity to coach against his former team. From what little I've noticed over the last 10 years or so, it seems like the coach usually has more success against his former players than...

What do you consider to be a successful season?

I was expecting 6-7 wins, but, realistically, I've now conceded that we don't have the size, experience or depth on the line (OL or DL) to expect much this year. I'm looking to the next decade (2020-beyond) for improvement. There is so much work to do from a development and recruiting...

    QB Situation

In one sense, I want to say, "Don't blame me, I'm just the messenger." :) I understand this A-T-L approach goes against the grain for some. Collins stressed it tonight. OC-CDP said something similar a week or two ago. I think this is how it is going to be, at least for awhile. Personally, I'm...

    QB Situation

Listening to GT:60 this evening, CGC said, "If I've got three QBs who have worked hard all week to earn the right to be Above The Line players for the upcoming game, then why would I not play all three of them in that game?" CGC is clearly laying out that the coaches' mindset regarding who...

    QB Situation

It may not be a major goal of GTFB this year to ‘settle’ on a QB. Our biggest weakness being OL – and we had 2 OL injuries yesterday (so we went from not good to worse), it’s almost impossible for us to protect the QB in a passing situation, which makes it difficult to showcase much of what LJ...
