  1. Collins report card after 2 seasons

I would like to see some consensus on when the results matter. To the extent that they don’t right now, and to the degree that recruiting rankings are predictive, then that’s what should be the driver of his letter grade now. On that, truthfully, the results don’t match the hype. Rivals ranks...
  2. The ACC will delay the start of competition for all fall sports until at least Sept. 1

The decision will be made for them, not by them.
  3. Thoughts on fan-less games

Honestly the joke writes itself. The real issue is how they justify playing the games - purportedly by amateurs - in an empty stadium.
  4. Submitted a signed letter of intent!

    Let’s not hijack the thread.
  5. Submitted a signed letter of intent!

Not to be a moral victory person, but... It’s not a secret that I haven’t been thrilled with this staff. However, even if we lose him, it’s a credit to them that they were able to identify a kid who is good enough to get the offer sheet he has, get on home early enough, and compete through...
  6. Here's An Analysis Of The 2020 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets By College Football News

At least he has put something on the record that is objective and identifiable and for which he can held to account. It’s not the unquantifiable stuff about ”culture,” whatever that means, anymore.
  7. Here's An Analysis Of The 2020 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets By College Football News

We’ve got a good number of transfers who should be available. I anticipate the defense being considerably better and the offense to continue to struggle. 6-6 seems optimistic, though Collins himself said this past Christmas would be the last one we spent at home.
  8. Acc releasing schedule today

Only two September games should be really hot, which is nice. I’m down with a backloaded home schedule.
  9. Future Opponents: Bama and Ga State

Why are we doing a home and home with Georgia State? Anything less than two for one is ridiculous.
  10. Season Ticket Email - Mayhem at MBS adds $105/per seat

I think a discussion of prices independent of game day experience is a little silly. As I said before, prices probably won’t affect any of our choices; most of us are going to buy them regardless because we’re superfans. It’s why we’re on this site. But going to games that take four hours...
  11. Season Ticket Email - Mayhem at MBS adds $105/per seat

The demand of people who post here is probably pretty inelastic. I am skeptical that the same is true of our fan base writ large. Perhaps they’re expecting other teams to subsidize us, which is fine even if it looks bad. Long term, though, that’s going to further erode attendance.
  12. Next schedule brutal... whatever

But we weren’t in a conference then.
  13. Next schedule brutal... whatever

There’s not really a wrong answer to this, but there are two ways to do it. You either schedule wins and sell your record, or you schedule as many heavyweights as possible and sell that. Ultimately, I think scheduling cupcakes and collecting wins is the better strategy, with the idea being...
  14. Chan Gailey

Cool. So he’ll be our head coach again in like three years?
  15. Stansbury being sued by Oregon State?

I suppose it’s possible, but that shouldn’t be a terribly difficult matter to figure out, especially since I’d expect the attorneys retained by the school and Stansbury are competent. If so, the language of the contract should be pretty easy to parse. I obviously have no inside knowledge, but...
  16. Stansbury being sued by Oregon State?

People default in the middle of a payment plan all the time. I’d be shocked if the attorneys for Oregon State didn’t issue a demand letter giving him a certain amount of time to cure any default. If he’s not in default, and his attorneys handle it right, he’ll have a decent OCGA 13-6-11 claim...
  17. Stansbury being sued by Oregon State?

The complaint says he was making the monthly payments, then stopped in July.
  18. Stansbury being sued by Oregon State?

    I am, and no.
  19. My first post: Crootin'

He is coaching at a school that has high expectations but generally doesn’t provide the infrastructure required to meet them. The coach gets frustrated because he hears the criticism, then he gets defensive. O’Leary did it (MIT Monday through Friday and Alabama on Saturday), Johnson did it...
  20. My first post: Crootin'

Ah. Gotcha. Either way, I think we probably both have a nondiscrimination policy on wins versus UGA.
