    Rivalries

I concur with your concurrence. I would personally like to have both Clemson and Auburn on our schedule each year as the oldest SE engineering schools and some of the longest rivalries - at one time our Auburn series was the longest in college fb. Of course, our OOC strength of schedule would...

Coming soon to GT: Corporate sponsorships and new names for football field and basketball gym

Sorry to hear about your mom-in-law. Already been down a similar path. While I don't own a Hyundai (yet), I will say I'm thankful to them as they are paying my work team's bills for the next 3 years as we work on/around the Meta-site EV facility! As others have said, they are making some very...

Article Georgia Tech coordinators see bump in pay

Here's demographics thru Fall 2022. 60/40 male/female undergrad, 73/27 for grad students. I was surprised we have that many undergrad students now. It was 11k back in the 80's with 7k grad students.

GT in the NBA Summer League 2023

Alvarado got famous on "Can he shoot?". Devoe gets "Scoot who?". Awesome stuff. Hopefully he continues getting the opportunities.

Dang, I'd still love to be able to throw 82. Of course, my 60-ish knuckler was all I really ever had. I was clocked at 98 on my tennis serve recently, so that's something.

    Is Georgia basketball talent overrated

In a quick review of NBA players, GA ranks between 6 - 10 depending on the year. They based either on total number of NBA players or on a per-million rate. Some of the stats are "birthed in" and some are "played in", so would take more digging to fine tune.

BDS - what section is the best???

I still prefer to hang out in 224L or 226L on the east upper (tho only go once per year) - especially down close. It's where we could sit when I was in school (224 and north closer to goal) so I guess it stuck with me. As others have said, it's great being close to field and having a higher...

NIL, Transfers, and Stratospheric Salaries. What Is the Future of GT Football and College Football in General?

Tx, and understand splitting budgets under current methods/models/rules, but yeah I was going along the previous threads that the schools pay the players' salaries since they are no longer SA's but instead they are employees.

NIL, Transfers, and Stratospheric Salaries. What Is the Future of GT Football and College Football in General?

Ga Tech has 9,500 employees (1,300 academic, 8,100 admin) with a $2.1B budget - just going off of Wikipedia. So, what if Tech did just pay it's SA's? The revenue programs would have 100-150 players, secondary would be another 400? This would be an increase of 5% over current payroll, assuming...

    Damon Stoudamire

There have been several quotes about CDS being honest that he's looking to make himself more marketable and that HE could look good/win big, etc. Of course sometimes quotes aren't taken fully in context. But he does still seem to have at least one eye still on the NBA. Do any of y'all think he...

GT @ Syracuse 2/28/23 GAME THREAD

Not to dis on Deebo, because I think it's great when he is more assertive and taking shots, but without his stats in there, the rest of the team was uber-impressively accurate. 32-54 for 59.2% FG and 16-28 for 57.1% on 3PT shots. By the time I got home game had just finished 5 min earlier...

Saba Gigiberia was mentioned earlier. Got me thinking what ifs for a second, then looked up his states at SF: So, still not lighting it up at what I would think is a step down in competition.

Love for Josh Okogie in PHX today

He had 25 against the Hawks last week. Great for him to be on a team that could potentially go far in the playoffs if KD returns healthy.

    Notre Dame at GT

I just happened to catch the second half on TV - first one since December (hey, maybe I should have been watching all season - I think I'm 3-0). These guys do provide a lot of effort/hustle, especially on defense. On offense, they don't seem quite there but the overall numbers weren't bad at...
