  1. Ssssssshhhhh.....

It's definitely not minor, but I would think if he was done for the year they'd say he was done for the year. What I was trying to suggest earlier, that wasn't artfully drafted, is that there is probably some major damage that has been done, but they are waiting for the swelling to go down to...
  2. Need Notre Dame tickets

Not sure if this is the right place - I've got 2 tix together for ND. Can't go bc of work. Would prefer getting face for them. I'm putting them up on stubhub too, but would prefer to sell them to you guys.
  3. Remaining SOS #1 in college football

It's at uga, but the other thing is these ratings will change pretty dramatically in the next few weeks, particularly for teams (like us and uga) who haven't played anyone yet.
  4. Remaining SOS #1 in college football

A lot of that is an "any given saturday" mentality and the other part of that is home/away. The first thought is that Virginia played as good as they could on Saturday, while Notre Dame didn't. If you played that game ten times, my guess is Notre Dame would win at least 7-8 of them. So we...
  5. The ND "putdown" has already started.

Right? His list reads almost like a no brainer of things you need to win (although I did like the analysis it was based on): Don't turn the ball over. They turn it over twice. Score at least 39 points, only kick one field goal on red zone attempts. Have the TE position get 5 catches...
  6. The ND "putdown" has already started.

Ultimately I think this game is pretty much a toss-up, but I like our chances a lot. At the beginning of the season, if you gave me the choice between the domers and us, I probably would have picked them just because of the road part of the game. Fast forward two weeks, take away their...
  7. Six wins in 93 years

It's a big game because its basically a matchup of two top 15 teams on the road. Saying we've won only 6 games this century is also pretty misleading. We are 2-3-1 against them since 1980. In the 60s and 70s (the dark era) we went 1-9. They did pummel us pretty strong in the 20s and 40s, too.
  8. Doomsday Scenario for the ACC

This is way too early to even think about. If we have only one loss, it means we probably did something like this: Beat Notre Dame, FSU, Clemson, and uga, with a loss to FSU or Clemson in the regular season. I have a hard time believing that any non-SEC or non PAC-12 1 loss team would go over...
  9. Ssssssshhhhh.....

It's a fair point. I just remember being worried that we had underthrown TM to the point where we let the DB make a play on it. Marshall was wide open, but had to turn around and risked #24 disrupting the play, imo. I'm certainly glad we didn't overthrow the guy, but I thought the pass was...
  10. GT (+3) vs. ND

Seems like the line shifted a half point in techs favor pretty quickly after it was announced.
  11. The ND "putdown" has already started.

I don't think there is bad blood coming from VanGorder. The issue is that VanGorder changed the GSU offense and made some derogatory comments about CPJ's offense. I haven't seen anything that suggests VanGorder cares one way or the other.
  12. The ND "putdown" has already started.

His list is great - its the "facts" that had me rolling my eyes. It's almost like he is pretending that we've never played anybody big before. Winning at uga last year was a lot tougher than this game is. We may not win, but uga has 92k fans who hate us, on average, five times more than the...
  13. Ticket Sales

Thought this was worth its own thread. Ticket sales are way up this year. Last year the following games were the lowest attended (official attendance, which I assume includes no shows and freebies): Wofford - 45.4k Duke - 44.3 k Virginia - 46.7 k Clemson - 49.4 k Now this year: Alcorn -...
  14. Ssssssshhhhh.....

Absolutely. I was pleased to see he could run the o. Looked a lot better than Nesbitt against BC or VT in 2008 (at least in terms of doing what a qb should do in the offense).
  15. Ssssssshhhhh.....

Sounded to me like they are waiting until swelling goes down to see what's up. Hopefully we get good news.
  16. Ssssssshhhhh.....

I'm waiting for those days too. One can dream... I'm curious to hear from those criticizing the "Jordan haters" what they saw or heard that made them certain Jordan was going to be a stud Qb.
  17. Ssssssshhhhh.....

That was based on the fact nobody had seen Jordan play apart from an awful scrimmage, after which we moved him to a different position. And let's be honest about Jordan. I'm glad he is capable of running the offense, but his TD pass was well under thrown and his long run came against an...
  18. A couple of concerns

I don't think anyone knows the answer to #1. Jordan just hasn't played much, if at all, publicly at QB. For the second question, we weren't going to sack Alcorn the way their structured their offense. They pretty much were focused on getting rid of the ball as quickly as possible and only...
  19. Tell me this isn't true - Byerly injury

IIRC, Nesbitt pulled up lame first series against Miss State and Jaybo finished em off. I don't think TW was ever banged up. Vad got in the game bc CPJ wanted to give him reps. I don't remember a time when we pulled TW due to injury.
