  1. Tell me this isn't true - Byerly injury

When did Vad need to get spelled the year he started? Not saying you are wrong, just don't remember SD or whoever (JT?) was backup then getting in the game much.
  2. Depth Chart for Tulane....Timmy 2nd string QB

I think there are valid points to both sides. The only way to know which is right would be to watch practice or to get inside CPJ's head. Unfortunately we can do neither so we are left to internet message boards. I think we can all agree we hope CPJ doesn't have to worry about Christian v...
  3. Depth Chart for Tulane....Timmy 2nd string QB

Definitely don't remember a single thing saying he was our #1 target. And, if he was, it was only because Vad just left, essentially leaving us with unknowns at QB. It's hard for me to believe that he would have been our #1 guy over Autry, Leggett, Andrew Marshall, Klock, Durham, Freeman, etc...
  4. Depth Chart for Tulane....Timmy 2nd string QB

Jordan enrolled in January of 2014. He hasn't had two years to learn the offense; he hasn't even been at GT two years. He's had 2 spring practices and one season. While he got some reps with the offense, he didn't get nearly as many as Thomas or Byerly - particularly during the season. Also...
  5. Ga Tech @ Notre Dame Gameday ??

More no news than good news, though appreciate you posting. Only other games with two ranked teams is Auburn v. LSU and Ole Miss @ Bama, so it's not surprising they are considering us too. You can probably guess to a high degree of certainty the five (see below). My recollection from last...
  6. Depth Chart for Tulane....Timmy 2nd string QB

How do you know he is getting a masters this summer? I may be wrong but I don't even see where he graduated undergrad yet. I'd also think he'd want to return for one final season, since he did transfer schools to play football, but obviously I haven't spoken with him so I have no idea if...
  7. Green Wave gears up for ground-proud Georgia Tech

We'll probably see a bit more of thomas, regardless of score. He'll play at least a half, probably three quarters. If its still a game at that point he'll stay in. If we have a good lead I'd expect us to pull JT.
  8. Happy update for GT fans

This is a pretty big stretch, imo. You are saying that working on QB fundamentals and throwing to various routes has "zero application" to being a QB at our school. That's not true. We throw the ball a good bit, even if not all of the time.
  9. Depth Chart for Tulane....Timmy 2nd string QB

Yeah we collectively have no idea why Matthew Jordan was moved, other than they wanted him to get a chance to see the field at AB. The only time people have seen him play QB was in the spring game? There, his stats were 17 carries, 19 yards, and 2-5 passing for 8 yards (according to FTRS). So...
  10. Depth Chart for Tulane....Timmy 2nd string QB

I'm hoping right along with you :)
  11. Happy update for GT fans

lol. I see merit to both sides. I think Vad's problems sprung from whatever he did the rest of that summer and his desire to assimilate to what we wanted to do. either way, seems to have worked out for both sides.
  12. Depth Chart for Tulane....Timmy 2nd string QB

I don't know if I'd read too much into Timmy being listed. They probably won't update until they announce something on his injury.
  13. Green Wave gears up for ground-proud Georgia Tech

Thomas was 3-8 for 15 yards and a pick. I don't think we will have that bad of a passing game again. Rushing-wise we went 344 yards on 57 carries (average of 6.0). That's pretty much at average for the season (56.4 carries, 342.1 ypg). Look at our drives - fumble on the first play of the...
  14. Happy update for GT fans

Nothing wrong with attending the Elite 11 camp. It's good press for us with potential recruits. And it lasts what, a week? Spending a week at Nike headquarters with the best QB recruits in the country doesn't sound like that much of a waste, imo. Deshaun Watson and Will Grier were both at...
  15. Stats Justin Thomas Season Adjusted Stats

Agree with not counting the rocket tosses. The most important analysis, imo, would just be including the additional option plays. If the play is a called handoff up the middle, or a designed pitch play, it really doesn't get into the QBs decisionmaking at all.
  16. Dissappointed with fan experience

If $42 dollars is all that it takes to get a "dedicated" fan to question going to games, then I question how dedicated that fan really is.
  17. Dissappointed with fan experience

Sorry to hear you are disappointed, but $4 for a coke or hot dog is pretty standard for any sports/entertainment venue - particularly in a major city. If it were less expensive we'd be talking about how cheap it is (say $6 total for a coke and a hot dog). $42 isn't expensive when you factor in...
  18. Way too early analysis - GT v. Alcorn

He's also been injured the last two years. As a freshman he had 117 carries and 759 yards. If we can get about that out of MM I'll be happy. I don't doubt that MM will end up with the better career numbers.
  19. Dook is booring

I didn't see much but the highlights. I'd say their's isn't boring, its just turnover prone. Duke was making progress downfield, it was just 5 yard dump passes at a time. And they weren't scoring every possession. I don't think I saw a single play actually made when I was watching. Looks...
