  1. Notre Dame - 1st Trip EVER to Indiana

I turned it off after the grand slam. I did not see us ever scoring against a lefty breaking baller. I turned back on and saw the 9th.Why was Bart pinch hit for?
  2. Notre Dame - 1st Trip EVER to Indiana

This is still gnawing at me, I only hope it bothers the team and Hall as much. In thinking about Curry, he doesn't have bad control, but one of the biggest reason for him running up the pitch count so quickly is that he has no out pitch. A good pitcher has to have one to get batters to miss for...
  3. Notre Dame - 1st Trip EVER to Indiana

Don't hold your breath on the sweep possibility, there may still be one - by ND.
  4. Notre Dame - 1st Trip EVER to Indiana

I can't believe I watched this crap. ND is far worse than any ACC team we have faced, but we blew it. Craport can't play third base, Murray misplayed a fly ball into a triple and the winning run, Bailey should have thrown the winning run out at third anyway. Hall let Curry go back out for one...
  5. Half Time Review - Need Better Pitching

The severity of the injuries was worse than expected, but enough to get the bigs to drop off. We still may come out better in the long run with both Hughes and English. Heck, English was our best hitter last year and an outstanding first baseman, but he wants to pitch.
  6. Auburn - 2nd of 2

I am not sure which poles are yellow and which are white, but I am pretty sure that one of the white poles, probably the one on the right, is the foul pole. I did see that the AU Coach conceded that the ball was fair and a homer.
  7. Half Time Review - Need Better Pitching

I believe the injuries to the pitching staff are worse this year than last year. We have no Gold or Gorst this year, they are the reason last year had better pitching stats. Hughes is still getting over his surgery, but Gooden is a mystery. However, Gooden was alot better on Sunday, and I hope...
  8. Auburn - 2nd of 2

When I looked at the tweet, it was not nearly as clear as the slow motion that I looked at repeatedly on the TV screen last night. The tweet looked like the images blurred over.
  9. Auburn - 2nd of 2

Rooster, you and Wiley need to look again.
  10. Auburn - 2nd of 2

It definitely was a fair ball. If you look carefully, there are two vertical poles with a screen in the middle. The right most pole is the foul pole and the left pole is there just to support the screen between the two pole. The screen is there to aid the umpire in viewing a foul vs fair ball...
  11. Clemson at Russ Chandler

Unbelievable, we made Miami look like the 1927 NY Yankees.
  12. Clemson at Russ Chandler

The highlight of the game was the inning thrown by Gooden. We really need for the kid to come thru big time. We would actually be in good shape if not for the injuries to English, Hughes, and Parr.
  13. Clemson at Russ Chandler

    He will get the call.
  14. Clemson at Russ Chandler

Clemson is very good at fouling off pitches with two strikes. It caused Shadday to throw 24 pitches in the first inning. I believe Shadday is here to stay in the week endrotation. Now I hope Ben S. is ready to take the Sunday slot tomorrow. The largest crowd I have seen in a long time today...
  15. Clemson at Russ Chandler

We're last in the Coastal at 3-7, headed for 3-9. How is it that most of our good pitchers are hurt year after year, and the rest are no good?
  16. Travel Ball

The announcer said earlier this week that Parr is expected to be back.
  17. Mercer Bears

The TV announcer said that Ben S. was on a pitch count against Mercer because he is going to start Sunday against Clemson. I got the tail end of a comment about Shadday, but I believe he said Shadday will start Saturday. Can one of you confirm that?
  18. Mercer Bears

I have a big problem with the pitchers we are recruiting. True, English and Hughes were big time, but both became available due to health issues with the pros. Usually, when someone is really good, they are scooped up in the draft. The trick is to single out those that are just below draftable...
  19. Mercer Bears

I hope Sneiderjans can prove to be the starter we desperately need. We also need to cut down on striking out. Our hitters need to go with the pitch and get off this pull everything so you can hit a homer technique. That has proven very ineffective.
  20. Wake Forest

Why is Peur in the 2 hole? I believe he struck out 4 times today, and I believe all were 3 swinging strikes chasing outside breaking balls. To his credit, he did win the first game with a homer, and he is our best defensive outfielder.
