  1. Kennesaw St #2

Shaddey and Gooden are also in contention for starter roles.
  2. The Arms

Hall spoke to the Lunch Bunch today. He is very positive about the two starters and the bull pen. I asked about who might become starters among those who have not started. He really likes Shaddey, and Gooden. Lee will start tomorrow if the game is played. He also opened my eyes as to how Vandy...
  3. Belmont

I think Gibson has a serious confidence problem on the mound, he can be great in the bullpen but poor on the mound. Delany shut down early in Summer ball last year and I fear he has some type of arm issue. Gooden seems to be an example of something that puzzles me to no end. The guy was rated...
  4. Belmont

Looks like 2016 repeat. We have no Sunday starter, at least not with Gibson. The bats have gone silent after we got behind early the last two times. Like someone said, we can't hit junk. What is with our pitchers(?) hitting batters, especially on 0-2 pitches? Twice when Belmont sacrificed, the...
  5. Belmont

I just hope we can handle the jump to ACC ball next week end. What will you consider to be successful for the Miami series? For me 2 wins will be great, 1 win will be successful. Please don't get swept.
  6. Belmont

I wonder if the fact that pitchers used to go the whole game caused them to pace themselves better. This may have saved war and tear as opposed to throwing 100% as long as they can. And back then, the bullpen was made up, to a large extent, of starter wannabees, but not good enough.
  7. The Arms

Really feel bad for King, his brother is starting for Belmont tomorrow and his family is in town. He having a rough time coming back.
  8. 1-1 with Todd Stansbury. What should I ask him?

Try to get him to get behind a gold/white identity for our program. Maybe not innovation, but our fan base is so scattered that we look like we hav no GT fans at games.
  9. Belmont

I would say Parr is the Sunday starter. Gibson pitched his way out of the week end rotation.
  10. Youngstown State

Last year at the end of the season, I looked back and thought that the writing had been on the wall since we lost English ( as a pitcher), Hughes, and King. Now,I am thinking we have lost English and Hughes and King are limited. I'm afraid the writing may already be on the wall again.
  11. Ga State

    "Not quite" is very kind.
  12. Ga State

And it was very disappointing, like 2/3 of an inning.
  13. Youngstown State

Tristan is English and he had Tommy John. Jonathan is Hughes and he had the bone spurs and growth plate. You are confusing the two.
  14. Youngstown State

Hughes did not have Tommy John. He had bone chips and a loose growth plate. They removed the chips and reattached the growth plate. On another issue, how do guys like Gibson and Gooden come so highly rated and can't throw strikes. We have had a long legacy of guys who fit that mold, including...
  15. 2017 ACC Baseball

In reference to lack of out pitchers going 8 innings, check out how many Major League pitchers go 8 innings.
  16. Youngstown State

He did not pitch more than 3 or 4 times.
  17. Statesboro Blues

    Why is Thomas ineligible?
  18. Statesboro Blues

    Where are Delany and Gooden?
  19. 2017 ACC Baseball

I'm sure our players are glad they don't have to play BC on their parking lot/baseball field. What a travesty of a facility.
  20. Statesboro Blues

Hall said it would likely be Parr to pitch. Probably wants experience in that environment.
