  1. Opening Weekend - BYU/ Marshall / Western Michigan

They haven't used a freshman pitcher named Gooden. I thought he was highly rated coming in,butI may be wrong.
  2. PLAY BALL!

No one has mentioned the new screen behind home plate. It has now been extended to just beyond the outfield side of both dugouts. If you don't want to look through the screen you had better get as far away from home plate as you can. I imagine it is a new NCAA rule, but it certainly improves...
  3. PLAY BALL!

The hit that Ryan gave up was really a misplay by the right fielder.
  4. PLAY BALL!

I'm ready. I will go down to Barkers Red Hots on Windy Hill for the worlds best hot dog at 2:30 and then to the game. A great Friday ritual.
  5. Baseball - Preseason (too early?)

I heard from another source that Gibson will start Sunday.
  6. Baseball - Preseason (too early?)

I'll bet Gibson or Parr start Sunday.
  7. Opening Weekend - BYU/ Marshall / Western Michigan

Would it be possible that with Curry pitching on Friday,he would be able to go at SS thenext to games? I have been told that Ryan will be the closer. Has there been a recent change, I doubt it?
  8. Opening Weekend - BYU/ Marshall / Western Michigan

AsI have posted before, King is on a 50 pitch count and will not be starting.I don't know if this is a short term thing or for the season. I'm leaning for the later.
  9. Baseball - Preseason (too early?)

I have heard the following exceptions to your analysis: 1B - Kel or Poje SS - Hall if he is off injured list. McCoy is also injured, Curry will pitch. RF - Stallings DH - No idea SP: Hughes, Parr, Curry Curry is on a 50 pitch count and will not start.
  10. Baseball - Preseason (too early?)

I just hope our pitching doesn't bite us again. It's a bad omen to lose English, who I consider as our most important player, and then learn that King is on a pitch count and can't start. I thought we signed a lot of pitchers in this years class, but Curry is the only one I hear about. I will be...
  11. Alexander-Tharpe Fund: Harrison Butker

I liked everything above except Curry going political at the end. I am a conservative and I don't think he is. The rest of the speech was great. I knew Bill and we worked at the same company in the Summer while at GT. I wrote recruiting letters for him and knew him on a personal basis when he...
  12. Alexander-Tharpe Fund: Harrison Butker

And to think that some misguided souls don't think CPJ is good for GT.
  13. What would've happened...

I've heard from very inside sources that Dickey was in Chattanooga waiting to be announced by Dodd. It was a done deal, except for Harrison messing it up. GT was a highly respected program at the time coming off a 9-2 season and an Orange Bowl appearance. Dodd played for UT himself and would not...
