And what does that have to do with our offense? Don’t act like ND and Clemson are near the same animal.
I agree Louisville is looking better than expected but Satterfield is also working with more weapons than we are right now. They are better at every position group on offense except rb.
True. And I think you saw in week one why transitioning out is more difficult than transitioning in. We just don’t have a qb that can run what we are trying to do. It would have been similar to Johnson having to run his system with Booker at qb all year. We tried that for 1 game against a 1AA...
So they didn’t take a step back when they transitioned out of the option? I’ll let you make the argument that the transition hasn’t been difficult for them. That’s one that I can’t even begin to make.
Why do you think people are lowering a bar instead of setting realistic expectations for the program? We were picked dead last in the ACC pre season. All neutral observers seem to understand the gargantuan task Collins has in front of him but for some reason a few people on this board think the...
While I completely agree we won’t see anything like Clemson this year and I will include our last one n there, what we are working with at qb is just nowhere near what other teams outside of Duke will have. And they looked solid everywhere else. For me it’s difficult to have both an overall...
You guys do realize we were picked to finish 14th out of 14 teams in the ACC don’t you? Those of you not prepared for a losing season are setting yourself up for a disappointment. It’s going to be a long season. After watching football this weekend I think it’s going to be really tough for us...
Don’t have to practice against the option or players recruited to run it trying to mimic a spread. This was the biggest thing that hurt the D over the past decade. Talent or coaching deficiencies took a back seat to this.
Honestly, the rankings are a beauty pageant based on perception. Our programs perception has taken a big hit since 2014 and ultimately the reason I’m glad to see a change.
As was O’Leary’s 01 class and he was on his way to another in 02. We were rocking along in recruiting before Gailey arrived. Then we used his poor recruiting efforts to justify Johnson’s. Enough of the defeatist nonsense we have swallowed as a collective fan base.
My goal wasn’t meant to diminish or trash the previous staff. The difference is just so stark to me it’s hard for me to believe anyone doesn’t see it and I just take for granted what I say to be fact.
Not looking to argue. A united front is a stronger front.
Go Jackets.
