  1. Temple Post Game

I don’t think there was ever any doubt that we would be better this year running the 3O. This is a play for the future and I have to say I’m a little surprised how many people are clamoring for a shot at 6 wins. This year is showing what a genius CPJ was. He was a flat brilliant coach...
  2. Temple Post Game

If you can’t see the talent deficiencies Key is working with then you should have your posting privileges revoked.
  3. Temple Post Game

Some would argue Johnson and the 3O are responsible for the mess we find ourselves in.
  4. Recruiting issue raised by a past Auburn football athelete

You are the type of fan we need more of my friend. Glad to call you a yellow jacket!
  5. I don't appreciate my post being pulled. I never called ilovetheoption any names. Is my...

I don't appreciate my post being pulled. I never called ilovetheoption any names. Is my opinion of him incorrect? Is his allegiance not to Paul Johnson over our program? I presented my argument with facts and linked articles I researched. It was not some unhinged rant. I already had...
  6. Has it come to this?

I'm curious, why are you a GT fan? I'm a sidewalk fan as well and the moment I feel like a magical run is out of the possibility I'm not sure I can continue. I love fighting the uphill battle but my goodness we have to fight and believe. It starts right there. Believing. I don't want a...
  7. Has it come to this?

There are different tiers to each star. For example there is a huge difference between a 5.5 3 start and 5.7 3 star and there is a 30 point difference ranking on the Rivals site for example between the 2. Avg star rating is not a solid way of looking at it.
  8. Prominent Coaches' First Year Scares

Fair enough. Johnson inherited a program that had been ranked in the top at some point for 3 straight years and had a Sophomore class that was the best in 8 years. Johnson handed his successor a program that hasn't been ranked since the second week of 2015. He handed his successor one of...
  9. Prominent Coaches' First Year Scares

They received a flat dumpster fire. You do realize virtually every prognostication picked us to finish dead last in the ACC don’t you? That is what this staff inherited.
  10. GT needed a change

We were ranked in the top 15 at one point in Gailey final 3 seasons and had gameday come to GT games twice in his final 3 years. We were far more relevant than where we have been the last 4 years. Not ranked and gameday hasn't thought about coming to one of our games. You can't be irrelevant...
  11. GT needed a change

Talking about the years beginning in 98 to 18. Not a worse 4 year stretch involved.
  12. GT needed a change

We also never became irrelevant under gailey the way we did under Johnson. Haven't been ranked since 2nd week of 15.
  13. The future of GT football

Just 4 years ago we had an 18 year bowl streak. Being a GT fan isn't that bad. Going through a tough time now however.
  14. GT needed a change

It's no narrative on my part. For the first time in 2 decades Tech fielded non competitive football teams. We missed bowls twice in the last 4 years and haven't been ranked since the second week of 2015. I promise you if I felt another 2014 type run was around the corner then I would have...
  15. GT needed a change

I think they ended up with about the same record. One had more highs and lows while the other was up and down but in the end their records were very similar.
  16. GT needed a change

If you sincerely believe this you should have been irate at Johnson's inability to develop a passing game over the past decade the way Fridge did.
  17. GT needed a change

Wasn't the Chan Gailey eras and Paul Johnson eras ultimately very similar?
  18. GT needed a change

My goodness we were 24-25 over the last 4 years!!! Nothing we did in the 2 decades prior to that created a worse 4 year stretch. Everyone knows we need good coaching and that is why many wanted change. Johnson is responsible for a large portion of what happened Saturday afternoon.
  19. Steve Hummer is relentless

Reading these comments about the coaching, many of which I agree with, compels me to mention the players on the field. Today’s loss was a combination of a team lacking talent as well being poorly prepared. I’m confident our talent will improve in time with Collins. Hopefully the game plan...
  20. ACC Discussion 2019

No it’s not false. We were picked last in the ACC for a reason. Just look at what we are working with at the qb position at that should tell you all you need to know about the challenges our staff is facing. No other program in the conference is working with anything like we are. That’s just a fact.
