  1. LOS

Right. It’s almost like he has a script. When things work, it looks great. When the other side does something that throws a wrinkle in the script we can’t adjust.
  2. LOS

Patenaude does some things that are great. Then follows it up with head scratchers. Wonder if he sometimes over thinks things.
  3. LOS

Pitt played the old BC/Matt Ryan offense. Hold on every play and force the refs to call it
  4. Thoughts on GA TECH v UGA at Mercedes Benz Every year?

You mean every year, right? Not in lieu of our home games. I would say it depends on the finances. Last few home games have been mostly pro UGA crowds. If that is going to be the case anyways, why not get paid for it?
  5. #UNCvsGT Postgame

I mentioned this in an earlier post, but this was fun to read in the UNC papers: The game’s turning point highlighted their inability to establish the run. Three consecutive plays, trailing just 13-7 in the third quarter, Carolina tried to get one yard on its own 41. And for three straight...
  6. Pitt is favored

Did we ever get the backstory on “the handshake”? So bizarre.
  7. #UNCvsGT Postgame

Lots of good in this game. My favorite was the fact that on 2nd and short, 3rd and short and 4th and short, when everyone knows UNC is going to try and run it to pick up a few yards and first down, we just shut them down completely, multiple runs in a row. When has that happened before?
  8. Where the haters?

Good win. Defense looking better every week. Great to see DL getting so much pressure. Main difference on offense is that we embraced running the ball instead of trying to pretend we were a pass heavy team. Not sure why we didn’t do that three years ago, but if we keep at it, we can make some...
  9. Which coach on GT staff (outside of CGC) should feel most pressure to improve?

Still Key. Haven’t seen anything out of him. There was a reason bama was not so disappointed when he left.
  10. Hire Geoff Collins

    Yes.
  11. Jordan Yates

How was he 7th in ACC but 6th overall
  12. Hire Geoff Collins

It was a staple of the highly effective Falcons offense when Shanahan was the OC.
  13. CGC/Dabo Post Game Pressers

    Fair point.
  14. CGC/Dabo Post Game Pressers

I wonder if some of it was also taking the first few opponents lightly/holding something back for Clemson. I actually like that plan, if that is the case. Holding out new wrinkles for some of the bigger games on our schedule to keep them from scheming...
  15. Hire Geoff Collins

It is crazy to think how close we are actually to being 3-0. A 2 PT conversion against NIU and a few plays against Clemson. On another note, wasn't Clemson's star DT out on the last drive? I would've taken my chance trying to run Mason -- at least on first down. Don't like trying to outrun...
  16. #GTvsCLEM Postgame

Lol. Btw, how bad did Yates look running the option out there? I cringed...
  17. #GTvsCLEM Postgame

I hate the end around in the end zone. When has that ever worked? I liked the shovel but would have liked it better to Mason instead of the TE. Our TE is not the best and running through contact.
  18. Hire Geoff Collins

I have said (and I think others agree) that it wasn’t the previous Ls that concerned me — it was how we lost. Well, for the first time I feel like I am ok with how we lost. Did we make a few bad decisions? Of course we did. But so did Dabo on the other side with two of the highest paid...
  19. #GTvsCLEM Postgame

Clemson still has four and five stars at every position. Credit to the coaches for a good game plan and players for executing it. Lousy holding penalty cost us in the first half. Otherwise we are tied and it’s a different game. Didn’t like the play calling at the end but thought otherwise game...
  20. Mostly “Fire Geoff Collins”, some reminiscing, maybe bourbon or other distractions

I have no doubt that is what your friend told you. I’m telling you what the coaching staff said. I suppose there could be a universe where the messages that the AD was giving CPJ was perceived as critical but was not intended to be (in which case we are both right). But I am skeptical of that.
