I like your style (plus use of LandPhil for your avatar). Out here we call our mid-mountain smoke breaks (or beer break...whatever your style happens to be) in the woods a “safety meeting”.
Yup, Killington is my home mountain living 15 minutes away. It’s no Jackson Hole, but it is the “Beast of the East”. I’d kill for some backside bowls and powder chutes though.
Yeah this was my backyard about a week ago (none has melted and we’ve added a couple more inches on top since), I always get a kick out of all the hate that a little weather gets from our fans. It’s not all bad, I’m able to drop the kids off at preschool and spend 3 hours snowboarding at the...
On the flip side, I’ve never seen a fan base that had so many members constantly looking to downplay any accomplishments or snuff out any hype it’s own players get as GT. Most other teams it seems like their fans are always talking up every player on their roster (for example, how many “next...
One thing I wonder here is if the assault charge was added on at the request of the injured passenger. Is it possible they’re pissed off (pure speculation, but maybe they were telling him to slow down and he ignored them) and asked to file charges?
It wasn’t wreck-less, because otherwise we wouldn’t be talking about it. Definitely reckless though.
Sorry, just trying to bring some levity to a tough situation.
I’m also a Brad who graduated ME, except it took me 6 years and I didn’t play football (I’d also assume I had a lower GPA too). Way to make me feel like a slacker, other Brad.
Sounds can always be recorded and played over the PA system. It may not be the live steam whistle, but they can make it sound like it’s there. If we’re doing a home game we should absolutely get that.
I just hope GT is given control of the majority of tickets, season ticket holders are given seats close to their originals, and Clemson isn’t defending another championship. Let GT have a chance to make it feel like a home game, not a neutral site.
Can someone please make sure to start a new thread once the announcement is actually made? I’m done paying attention to a bunch of arguing over something we have no idea about. Thanks in advance [emoji106]
Whether called MegaJuana or MegaChron, I’d go with a cross between White Widow & Acapulco Gold. It’d be a sativa dominant hybrid that wouldn’t put you down hard, so it really would be Up With the White and Gold!
Yeah that’s not a bad angle to get on if you’ve got the financial/legal backing to cut through the malarkey.
Back on Calvin, if he can help create a new strain (I’m not sure if that’s the direction they’re going) MegaChron is a FANTASTIC brand name.
There’s too much regulation and bureaucracy in the licenses to make them worth the effort, the real money is going to be made in supplying the growers with everything they need to run a smooth operation. Picks and shovels, folks.
I guess I just don't get why GT fans are trying to play "gotcha" and pin negative things on our coaches. Regardless of whatever happened, the kid chose not to publicly (or privately, as far as we know) crap on our coaches...that should tell you something.
Have you ever noticed how few coaches get officially offered jobs but decline them? Most of these deals are talked about and agreed to before any "offer" is made, and all contact first goes through agents so the coach can truthfully deny that he's talked to them. They'll make sure the coach is...
Why not both? Goose wasn’t the best athlete, but he was damn smart with the ball and really understood the QB position (as backed up by his long and successful coaching career). Unfortunately for him he just so happened to follow possibly the best QB to ever come through the Flats (and full...
This seems like a niche that some school is eventually going to fill and reap HUGE rewards in recruiting athletes. Figure out a way to make it an education degree and incorporate a variety of sports instruction and you're in the money.
It's a pretty simple concept, and of course that was our plan in the previous offense when teams crowded us. I'm expecting we'll spend a whole lot more time practicing the passing game (everything from QB reads and throws, OL techniques, WR routes, etc) so we may have more success in that phase...
