    Ezzard

Thanks for providing the details...I had a feeling OK was involved but couldn’t remember the specifics. That was also an intra-conference transfer (obviously a different conference though, so no guarantees it’ll go the same way), which would seem to make our case a bit stronger.

    Ezzard

With the statements out there from the Miami AD, it’d be entirely hypocritical for them to not support our claim. I can’t remember who it was right now but there was recently a school that got all kinds of negative publicity for gleefully taking in a transfer but blocking one of their own...

The Five Biggest Commits since NSD

Are we really arguing the hypothetical of whether these kids would have committed under Paul Johnson? What even is the point? It’s not even a slight on the old staff if we’re signing kids that fit different molds. Y’all are nuts.

    Ezzard

If Tathan gets a waiver, then literally anyone else should. The dude was all in on competing for the Ohio State job until Fields transferred in, and that was a while after Meyer retired (which should put a huge hole in the “coach retired” reasoning). I hope Tathan wins the Miami job, he will...

The Five Biggest Commits since NSD

I was always kind of surprised we didn’t get more of the TE/WR tweener types (for an NFL prototype, look at Jimmy Graham or Travis Kelce) in our old offense. I remember making a hard run at OJ Howard (and I guess you can count Waller who did transition to TE in the league), but honestly I don’t...

    Spring Practice

Check out the “Waffle House Wednesday” with coach Collins, he talks about the teams and competitions they have for Tuesday. I think it was something like one on one competitions between guys on different teams for the whole day. Pretty good insights in that chat.

But that’s different from 98% of our competition how, though? I subscribe to the “UVA sucks” school of thought...their hoops team is riding a high right now, but they’ll level out eventually. Cavman ain’t [emoji90]

    cee lo green

His NBA star is about as faded as can be now, so my guess is either he was paid by ESPN/SEC to be there or his agent set it up to get him a little screen time. Trivia time: Who rememberers what Goodie Mob stands for?

    Bon Voyage

Nah, the NCAA would nuke our program if any players were seen near any pots of gold. Let’s play it safe and just stick with the green hats and balls.

    Offseason Number Changes

I’m getting flashes of Morgan Burnett in our defense. To my eyes, Juanyeh was about as impressive last year as Uno was in his freshman year. I can’t wait to see how he does with a bigger role in our defense and a full offseason to study up.

Yeah I’m not ready to say we’ll be knocking Clemson off for the conference championship in the next few years, but I see no reason we can’t be at the top level of our division regularly which would likely put us in the ACCCG at some point in the next few years. Just looking at our competition, I...

Please show me a single prediction of even competing for a single NC (much less multiple) in a few years if you’re gonna try to throw out a straw man like that.

    Your Favorite Underrated GT player?

Oh yeah Jonathan Smith was the truth, and he wore that #21 with distinction before Calvin took it to the next level. I was in Syracuse for some training when he was trying to make the Bills, and I went out to watch a preseason game and gave him a big shout out...you could tell he appreciated...

ESPN Adds DirecTV As Carrier For ACC Network At Launch

Come on and add PSVue. They already carry Big 10+2, SEC, and (I believe) Longhorn networks...just need to add this last one and I’m good.

    Your Favorite Underrated GT player?

Someone did (but used his real name). I’m big on the Godhigh train. For starters, his name is just flat out awesome, but he was an absolute beast for us especially his senior year. That 2013 Clemson game stands out as he was about the only guy on our team to do much, but they rarely stopped him...

    Ye olde coachinge debates

The best part of it is those exact same people will give Paul Johnson zero credit for any early successes Geoff Collins has (and to be clear here, I give way more credit to the coach who gets the wins than the one who brought the players in...old coach just gets the assist). In fact they’re...

    Paul Johnson era signature game

Ah yes, because obviously winning a game is less of an ego boost than losing while having a good offensive game. Gtfoh with that kind of nonsense

    Paul Johnson era signature game

It’d be one thing if the end of the Paul Johnson tenure was an unabashed failure and he got fired, but the dude retired with dignity and allowed GT to be in the best possible position moving forward. If you’re so irrational about the man that you can’t even allow other GT fans to look back on...

    Paul Johnson era signature game

FSU 2009 might just be my single favorite college football game of all time, and it definitely had my favorite play of all time (Nesbitt’s strip recovery). I’ll always remember the way we kept using that trips formation with an AB out wide going into motion for the usual pitch relationship with...

    Braun to Texas

I’m okay with this (although would have personally preferred Florida so he could beat the mutts again), hope he does well in his future and continues to look back at Tech positively. Regardless what anyone thinks about him leaving, he busted his *** here on and off the field and earned his...
