A better system would be to have the conference champions play off for the national championship. Throw all of the also-rans into the bowl system. If you don't win your conference, you can't win the national championship. Doesn't mean that the second place SEC team isn't better than the Big...
I don't think this gets enough attention.
This is the fastest team I believe Paul Johnson has ever had, including Navy and Southern.

All stand out on the field. How many times did we see a GT back screaming downfield blowing past Pitt defensive backs...
I suppose forcing turnovers is better than forcing punts and I did like the blitz packages, but as far as giving up yards and points, we couldn't be worse if we had Derek Dooley coaching us.
Not sure why I don't feel better. Offense is a juggxrnaught, kickoffs usually sail through the end zone, turnovers galore, 56 points and a mile of yards on offense.
But Is it asking too much to force a punt every now and then?
My point is, do you want to die fighting to win, or die playing not to loose. Roof didn't even slow them down, so turn the guys loose and attack and force them to react to you rather than giving them the field. It couldn't be any worse.
How much worse would it have been yesterday if we blitzed like hell and played more aggressively? As it was, they scored every time they touched the ball. This system of playing back on our heels and giving 10 yard cushions to every receiver is demented.
Still goes down as an L for the good guys. Refs clearly sucked, but that happens. Kept the Falcons out of the Superbowl a couple years back. The way I look at it is that you cant let the game be so close that it comes down to zebras making calls.
Me too. Lasky fumbled. JT threw picks. Stupid penalties on D. Duke played a cleaner game. And we still should have won. Like I posted earlier in the week, they won't stop us unless we stop ourselves. And we did.
That is why i don't bet on football games.
