  1. CPJ interview - Nov 11

That's stupid. 2 OBs for the first time in 50 years, 1 ACC championship first in 30 years, multiple ACC-CG appearances, etc. I bet those very recent facts, trophies, and stories are a central part of the CGC sales pitch when he gets kids on campus and shows them the bells and whistles...
  2. Virginia Tech Postgame

Actually, he wanted a more respected DC in Ellis Johnson but Tech refused to pay what it cost for a big league DC.
  3. CGC Post Game Interview

How you do one thing is how you do everything. - Coach Collins He can do both. He doesn't have to throw players under the bus, while still giving more meaningful answers to the issues compounding the team's struggles. Again, why bring up Temple at all? It makes no sense to me. There are no...
  4. Poll - What is a reasonable amount of time for Collins to be given?

Oh, I know. I just wanted to see how long it took him to realize what he’s actually saying.
  5. Poll - What is a reasonable amount of time for Collins to be given?

So, you’re saying it’ll take a Herculean effort for CGC to get us back to the 7 or 8 win Tech equilibrium. Do you realize even what you’re arguing with that? The hottest of takes.
  6. CGC Post Game Interview

What is it about Temple that Collins wants Tech to be like? Go ahead. List the accomplishments we are striving for.
  7. CGC Post Game Interview

How about STFU about his old job? What exactly is the message there anyway? Tech doesn’t want to be friggin Temple.
  8. I guess we should have known

It was military appreciation day. But like much of how Collins runs his program - the details, like teaching the flag bearer those rules, aren’t important. What’s important is the big picture and getting a chance for him to talk about and sell how awesome of an idea it was to do.
  9. Virginia Tech Postgame

The only reason he brought up Temple is his personal history there. He tried to sell a historic embarrassment of a performance by his team. He’s like a child trying not to take any responsibility.
  10. I guess we should have known

Do you get better whacking a bucket of balls by yourself or when the pro adjusts you in real time? I defer to Choice and Coleman who both are on record in public interviews during that time period giving it the side-eye.
  11. I guess we should have known

I hope more people actually remember back to the description of practices during spring ball and keep that in mind when judging this staff's ability. Also, keep it in mind to what you're seeing during game day. Our practices are near worthless. They rip through reps, and the teaching doesn't...
  12. I guess we should have known

Well, it's no wonder our execution sucks when we speed through practice a million miles per hour so much so coaches don't have time to properly teach between reps and drills.
  13. I guess we should have known

It's just a symptom of thinking if you do a million things in a day, while not taking the time to actually excel at any of them, you think you had a good day. That's CGC entire program from the foundation up. Substitute quality for quantity and sell it as the best thing ever.
  14. Virginia Tech Postgame

In his post game presser, we get more praising of Temple along with no personal accountability about the historic embarrassment today. We have a child as a head football coach.
  15. I have not seen any hype videos from any of the assistant coaches lately ...

2008. You'll get a kick out of this. At Georgia Tech.
  16. Apples and Oranges

    Yes. It does. Your turn.
  17. A Message our Players (Reposted from the other site.)

Who cares what he did as a DC or recruiting coordinator? That’s light years different than running the show as a head coach. And by the way, he had NFL talent (4 drafted and 3 UFA) at Temple and still managed to lose to a FCS school, who by the way ended the year with a losing record. Kinda...
  18. A Message our Players (Reposted from the other site.)

I think the fact we beat Gardner Webb makes it completely irrelevant. Do you want to talk about how CGC lost to FCS Villanova last year? You know, the Temple team he patted himself on the back for after smoking Tech.
  19. Apples and Oranges

You don’t want to anyone to bring up the game which puts a massive spotlight on Tech fans’ worst fears about CGC. That’s your rule!? OK, then.
