  1. Sugiura: Two Tech offensive linemen’s playing futures uncertain

I hate this for Chris & Jake. Also for the team. The margin for injuries is thinner at GT than say Alabama or Ohio St. The silver lining is these guys are at Georgia Tech. If your football career is going to be over, you want to be at Georgia Tech. If these guys can't play I hope they just...
  2. Opinion question about the Georgia Tech quarterback situation 2017

I want whoever's second string because clearly the offense would do better with him
  3. Credit to MBob

People ignore fit. A criticism is he's too nice and players walk all over him. Should be less an issue at GT which is why Calipari thinks it's a good fit. Plus if Bobinski makes sure there is an a bad cop on staff tgis can be further mitigated. This may also be the source of the in-game...
  4. Spring Practice 2016 News & Notes

Is Searcy back or is it the fall for him?
  5. Mike Greenberg tears the Georgia Bulldogs a new ***crack

I don't give two shirts about the Dwags. IMO the boards obsess a little much. I mean, I hate them as much as anybody...just am more a fan of GT content.
  6. Okay folks its time

I dont know the financial end of it. I have always felt Gregory was a placeholder. Really it's just a matter of time. .
  7. OL

I hope that's the case! There really is great potential and I am a big fan of the kids we have and what they're all about.
  8. OL

The point of my post was not to be doom and gloom, but rather to modulate expectations for a unit that has a lot of potential AND will need to work very hard to realize that potential. That is why I said "sometimes" things don't work out. Implied is that other times they do work out or exceed...
  9. OL

OL was supposed to be good last year. Hunt Days was supposed to be a monster. Things sometimes don't work out. I do like the kids we've been bringing in though. We have a chance to be good depending on how they work and develop. Until they earn it though that's all it is....a chance.
  10. What if Calvin Johnson became Tech's WR coach?

Great point on work etic BG. People forget how hard Calvin worked. Bebe pretty much took his lead from CJ. Combine amazing work ethic with that kind of physical talent and there is no stopping it.
  11. Why do we have so many B-Backs?

Some of these BBs can play other positions as well. Mills and Lands-Davis could play D very easily. Mills was recruited as a LB by a lot of big programs. That said I'd rather have too many DL than RB.
  12. Why do we have so many B-Backs?

Navy always seems to have a guy like Laskey and often I've wished GT would have one. Well, GT finally had one! I am sure opposing fans hated what Laskey did to their teams. IMO Dwyer, a once in a generation back, unfairly set the standard. Laskey and Days were damn effective and are a more...
  13. Spring Competition

It's not a binary argument and everyone tries to oversimplify it. WHO is plugged in and plays matters (talent level, physical maturity, practice reps, game reps, experience working with certain teammates, etc.). Also WHEN they are plugged/played matters. How many guys are concurrently plugged...
  14. All-CPJ Team

For A back it seems like youd have to cite a rotation, not just 2 guys. I'd go Robbie Orwin Ant Roddy Perk
  15. Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas: Top 4 Games at Georgia Tech

Shows even Bebe is human (to be human is to err).
  16. So what you think? Who plays as a freshmen?

RS-fr David Curry. Cat can form tackle and closes Jemea (an all time fave for me). Several of the RS-fr are interesting and there are a ton of them. Cottrell, Campbell, Morgan twins, Kirvonte B., Cooksey, Walker, Quaide, Howell, Philpott all could bust. After the spring game my call to bust...
  17. Vance Walker is a nerd

Would be great to have him at GT.
  18. 2016 Class Analysis + Player Ranking

Offers are tricky because good offers are always a good sign but no good offers MAY OR MAY NOT be a bad sign. Many committed guys dont bother to report offers if they are solid. Some dont even talk to the services or wont take calls from other coaches. And particularly late offers are seldom...
  19. WSB Trashing TECH RECRUITING

People are citing our team ranking in the recruiting discussions (#68 on Rivals) yet if you watch the film and look at measureables please tell me how 2-star recruits Camp, Branch, Brashear, Hawking-Anderson, and Cooper (bigger than Klock with Klock-like film) are not 3-star recruits. I like...
