After reminding myself who we did get, looking at their film, thinking about our needs, and thinking about how they project into our school and system I think it's a solid class. WR and DL were biggest needs and we got good film, size, and speed there. Very solid IMO. QB prospects look dynamic...

All my coaches were this way. I always just considered it football and never took it personally. You get to know your coaches and don't begrudge them for yelling when you screw up. It's something you laugh about later in life

My guess is he was borderline with his academics and could have tried sticking it out, maybe like JHD, but got advice to leave. Good prospect to be sure, however as many have pointed out we've got some other guys who are also good prospects.

I think GT football does have nice things. Are we at a stage where we can just reload and endure a season with a lot of key injuries against a really tough schedule? Obviously not. We'll have to recruit much better and more consistently than GT has ever recruited to reload after an Orange Bowl...

Agree although it also depends. If you got to 3-9 getting blown out and not competing then IMO you've got a job to do to have a winning season. For us we lost a lot of players to injury, played a lot of young guys, and repeatedly/almost flukily came up just short of winning several games. Or...

Award just means the player(s) worked hard to give the starters a good look. Anything else is fans reading into it. Not to diminish the award though because it helps to have scout guys who take it seriously.

I like the points/drive rankings better as well. It just makes sense.

We were in almost every game ( ND and Clemson on the road were exceptions). A few less injuries and a little more luck would have given us some wins and momentum. With the injuries and schedule we just never could put things together. Point is the season sucked and there is plenty to complain...
