I got so frustrated with some of the content on the premium sites. So often, the publishers would not be at liberty to discuss many things, or they would be ultra cryptic, or even sometimes just completely misleading about what was going on with the program. That’s why the Swarm is the place to be.
There was no non-football control group mentioned in the study in that SI article and the number of participants was really small. The only noteworthy conclusion that can be drawn from a study like that is that better studies need to be done.
I suspect there are players in the portal whose interest in GT won't become public until after the class of 24 signs their NLIs. No reason to risk a portal addition scaring off a would-be high school signee.
I played rugby at Tech and managed to sustain only one concussion, but it's pretty weird having no memory of the actual injury or about half the game that, per reports from others, I continued to play in.
I will say that the big problem I have with the CTE stuff is that it's a pathological...
Personally, I don’t mind this idea, but I’m uncertain about the likelihood of it actually occurring and how much control J Batt could exert to make it take place. Out of curiosity, would you be willing to share?:
1) What actions you hope J Batt will take as a result of your message
2) What you...
For those who don’t know, Jason Belzer, who tweeted this information, oversees Georgia Tech’s collective, the Tech Way, among others, such as Penn State. He has a law degree and is a pretty sharp guy in my opinion.
I predict that we finally see Leo Blackburn on the field tomorrow based on CBK's oddly cagey response to the question asked around the 7:50 mark at this week's press conference. Tin foil hat on.
Just coming back on to own the dumb &@$! post I submitted Saturday. Lucky for me, the proverbial paper bag I’ve been wearing on my head since the BC game can serve dual purpose. Apologies to all. I completely misread the tea leaves on an ‘insider’ board. Supposedly there was some big news...
I’m hearing rumor on another message board that GT could be leaving the ACC for the B1G with an announcement this weekend. Would explain why the football schedules were still up in the air after the recent ACC AD meeting.
I personally don’t understand how that would work with the grant of...
Opposing coaches and boosters love this list because it makes it so easy to know who to try and poach with inducements. If we are able to retain these two players this off-season, I would consider that a big step forward for the program from an NIL standpoint. Fingers crossed that those at the...
I bet it’s a mistake on Tennessee’s part because Georgia Tech is always really good at making sure coaches’ resumes are reviewed thoroughly. Anyone think we should involve Notre Dame to settle this?
I don't expect to see a dramatic improvement with this coaching change, but if turns out as well as when Weinke took over (unofficially) for Long last season, I'll be good with that.
I appreciate both sentiments - the ability to process and learn from the past as well as the desire to move forward without dwelling on what can no longer be changed.
I will say, though, that as we get ready for toe to meet leather at 3:30 today I’m thankful we no longer employ a head coach...
